The members of the Elemental Resistance disbanded after that, saying their farewells to the Ninja before leaving to get some much needed rest. After the reunion, Master Wu informed his students of some things he had to take care of as well while Master Garmadon and Misako both hugged Lloyd, and greeted the other Ninja, especially Audra. Pixal giving Zane a long hug as they returned to the Monastery.
As the others recounted their adventures in the dining room, Audra soon remembered the sudden Wind message about her older brother. But she was still scared of reuniting with him.
She was so caught up in thinking about her older brother, that when a hand gently landed on her shoulder, she jumped and turned to see Master Wu standing there. "I know how you feel, my dear." She turned to face him. "To be on seperate sides of good and bad, hurts. I have felt that for years."
"But your brother got a chance to redeem himself," Audra said. "By turning himself around and doing good by fighting by your side, and making amends with Misako and Lloyd."
"The important thing to remember." Master Wu said reached towards her and gently wiped a tear away from her cheek. "Is that Morro still had good left inside him before the end."
Audra lowered her head. "I really miss him. Is that wrong, am I wrong to think that?"
"No, dear one." Master Wu shook his head. "You have every right to miss Morro, just like how I missed my own brother. They were our blood, our family, and our very first best friends." Audra tried not to cry, but she let out a weary sigh and walked out of the dining room after she was done eating her dinner. But she didn't notice that Lloyd was watching her curiously as she left the dining room to the courtyard.
She was too busy gazing out on the horizon far ahead to see anyone behind her, where the sun was beginning to set. All around her the sky was painted with beautiful warm colors, the clouds turning a bluish purple in contrast. Not taking her eyes off the breathtaking sight, she lowered herself into a sitting position, getting comfortable. She sighed softly, letting a wave of calm wash over her, as well as the last warmth of the sun's rays before they would eventually plunge into night, getting herself lost in her thoughts while absentmindedly humming to herself.
When the moon slowly rose in the place of honor on the darkening violet backdrop, the stars around it had deviated drastically from the night before. Prominent constellations moved in a wide arc parallel to the moon's path, while the lesser ones framed them intermittently. The North Star was shining brightly as the moon. The other stars seemed to be swirling playfully through the sky.
She admired the beauty of the starry night sky from her seated spot. But she was really nervous about probably reuniting with Morro. She knew that Master Wu was protecting her from her older brother's reckless actions of proving destiny wrong. Once Morro had passed away, Audra was left behind at an orphanage with conflicting feelings regarding Morro and her past. But Morro had come back from the Departed Realm to warn them about Hecate and the Wind Chasers. Strong emotions rolled around inside Audra like a whirlwind. She doesn't know whether to feel curious or confused or nervous or uncertain. She had lost track of the amount of time she sat there alone in the peacefulness.
"Audra." She turned to see a familiar person. He had dark black hair with a single streak of green on the left side. His clothes looked old and well-used, while his eyes shone a faint dark green. But the most alarming fact was that his skin looked glowing green, and somewhat transparent.
"Morro." With a shaking voice, Audra stood up while eyeing her older brother with wary sadness.
"You look great little sister," Morro said to her.
"I have a lot of things to say to you." Her voice continued to shake as she gazed at Morro sorrowfully.
Morro smiled a little. "Unfortunally, we only have until the sun comes up." He turned serious. "I have to apologize."
"Apologize for what?" asked Audra, confused and curious.
"For everything!" Morro started to walk around a little, his eyes filled with guilt and regret. "I really was excited to have a sister, I finally had someone to play with."
Audra folded her arms. "You use to be nice in the beginning. Until Master Wu told you that you could be the legendary Green Ninja. That monster that you kept inside you, finally emerged." She was so preoccupied with her speech, that she never noticed the others poking their heads into the courtyard. Even after Jay fell face first into the room, and being pulled out by the legs by Cole. "Where were you when our parents passed?" Audra wanted to know, looking at Morro. "What happened after that mudslide separated us?"
"I was too busy wanting to prove Destiny wrong." Morro looked regretful. "Audra, if I knew then, what I now know." He trailed off. "The point is, I want to redeem myself. To apologize for everything that I've done." Audra bit her lower lip, and chewed as she looked down and shielded her face with her hair. "Audra, Tempest, baby sister." She hesitantly looked back up at him. "Do you know why I wanted you, to come with me?"
"I..." She paused, thinking back, then finally shaking her head. "No."
"I wanted you to get away from that life." He finally revealed, and she blinked.
"What?" She stared at him, feeling stunned and amazed by the news.
"What matters now." Morro walked over to her. "Is that you have a better family." He gestured to the entrance of the hall. "A real family." Audra looked away.
"I mean it Audra." Morro said. "The Ninja is your family. Why are you holding onto the past?"
"I don't know," Audra whispered, still not meeting his eyes.
"I think maybe it's cause you're looking for an apology. Or me admitting that I was wrong." Morro moved to stand in front of her. "Then I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you like an older brother should."
Audra finally turned back to face him. "I accept it." Tears shone in her eyes. "Of course I'm gonna forgive you. I always looked up to you, even now."
Morro smiled. "Thank you Little Storm. Now I can finally go in peace." He turned and flew above her while Audra watched him.
Morro jumped up into the sky. "When it's your time to crossover, I'll be waiting for you sis." His spirit left, and Audra sighed mournfully as he disappeared. But she gave a faint smile as she felt the burden on her shoulders has been lifted.
