Over the weekend, as well as the weeks that followed, Audra was suckered into being part of the Ninja Team, where she did her best to learn all about being a ninja and many myths that she had learnt about. She started to form tight ties with the two Ninja Masters as well as become good friends with Cole, Kai, Jay, Nya, Zane, and Lloyd. But the unusual part kicked in when the Ninja's Elemental Dragons started to become excited and affectionate towards Audra, like a bunch of eager puppies. Especially Lloyd's Elemental Dragon, who she had affectionately named Oman.
Audra thinks of the two masters of the academy were pretty interesting to say to the least. Master Wu has given her unique tasks that'll help her with her ninja skills and socializing with the other ninjas more often. Misako learned that Audra was a strong reader and a clever writer just as well, but she was feeling homesick. Due to that, Misako lets Audra help her with the ancient writings and history that she had picked up in her past travels.
Audra has started to think the boys and Nya as another family. Cole is the empathetic brother, Kai is the protective brother, Jay is the funny brother, and Zane is the smart brother. While Nya was the only girl in the team, but the two of them both became close.
But Lloyd is a completely different story. Every time they spend their time together, Audra felt her heart become warm at the sight of him. She feels happier whenever she's near Lloyd as they talk, practice, hangout, or work together. She started to feel a little shy around Lloyd while Master Wu, Misako, Kai, Jay, Nya, Zane, and Cole all knew what she was feeling.
In the training course, Lloyd frowned as he watched Audra was stayed in the shade and by herself. A part of him really wanted to go see if she was alright, she'd seemed pretty tired from the night before, but then there was the part that was unsure. They hadn't seen each other for a long while, but they finally met and bonded to each other like siblings.
Lloyd wanted to talk to her, particularly because Audra was clearly a bit of a loner and needed acceptance. But when Lloyd hesitated, it was in this moment that a punching bag struck him in the side. Lloyd tumbled across the floor with a loud "Oof!" The others and Audra all looked at him, laughing a bit at the clumsy tumble he'd taken.
"And the Mighty Green Ninja has been defeated by the Evil Punching Bag!" Cole chuckled.
Lloyd picked himself off of the ground, snorting softly. "Nah, it didn't defeat me. It just caught me by surprise for once. Hngh!" He sent a kick into the punching bag, which broke free and skidded off to bounce against the ground. "Now, the evil punching bag has been defeated... Muahahaha!" He snorted, breaking off quickly.
Kai rolled his eyes. "Come on. We heard enough of that when you were a kid." Kai smirked as he playfully trapped Lloyd in a headlock. Lloyd wheezed as he tried to escape the older teen's hold, laughter bubbling in his throat. Master Wu leaned against the wall, watching their antics with a slight smile and was clearly reminiscing of his brotherly bond with Garmadon at the sight of the duo. Audra chuckled in amusement at the sight of Lloyd being messed around with Kai.
After the Ninja were done training for the day, Audra decided to train with Misako of how to do Spinjitzu while Master Wu kept the Ninja on their feet. She watched as Misako pulled a switch on the dragon statue, this made a loud click sound underground, and Audra could only watch with surprise as the whole yard had training equipment come from underneath, it was all under a large mechanism which have things switch out from underground. Audra could see large spinning devices with dummies and obstacles on them, followed by stepping stones that sprung up and down, as well as some devices to help practice sword combat.
"Whoa..." Audra looked over the whole thing, while it felt so unique and different to what she's seen, deep down, this sight felt familiar in some ways.
"Are you ready to begin Audra?" Misako asked her.
Stepping forward, Audra's eyes settled on the obstacle course determinedly. "Ready as I'll ever be."
Misako watched as Audra went through and tried making her way through the course, Audra did look like she had some experience, but that may be due to her former life she had before. While Audra tried making it through the course the best she can, she did end up being hit by some of the obstacles and was knocked down, which showed she was still lacking proper experience.
"Dang it," Audra said frustratedly, getting back up to try again.
"Do not be upset Audra, everyone takes time to learn these things, try again, and keep focus please," Misako advised again which Kai sighed at from hearing.
"Understood." Audra went back to the start to try again.
Misako watched Audra try multiple times to get through the course, while Audra did get closer with each attempt, she always ended up getting knocked down, it's definitely because of the trouble's she's having regarding her past. Audra kept this up for most of the morning, and soon enough, the Ninja came out of the Monastery to see what's all the noise. They all were surprised with seeing Audra training in the course, and Misako was watching over her progress, it made them curious on what she's trying to do for helping Audra.
"Umm... Misako?" Nya spoke up. "Are you teaching Audra how to do Spinjitzu?"
"She was becoming concerned about her disability of Spinjitzu," admitted Misako. "This should help her."
The longer Lloyd looked at the brave and determined girl, he couldn't help and yet admire her with a soft smile. He also caught glimpses of her face as she continued to change her positions. Her expression was very focused, and her blue eyes held a determined look in them as she stared at the obstacle course in front of her. Lloyd couldn't help, but subconsciously smile to himself. Audra's long, wavy light golden caramel hair seemed to shimmer like a waterfall of melted gold over her shoulders. As the light shone down on her, it seemed make her skin twinkle as if it's in a pattern of a priceless jewel.
Audra did a flip as she kicked the dummies down quickly. She jumped and flipped over the spinning pistons. Audra spun with the blades before hopping away, and as she was in the parkour pistons as she hopped quickly. They all saw her jumped out of the way of the axes and she flipped out of the way. But he noticed that Audra is nowhere in sight.
"Whew!" Everyone jumped in place when they heard Audra's voice, a little tired and yet still excited from her warmup, but she was stretching from her exercise. "That was a great exercise." She was soon seen drinking some water from her bottle.
"That was just an exercise?" Jay whispered-shouted, stunned. His friends quickly hushed him.
Once Audra put her water bottle away, she looked at the gathered Ninja. Her blue eyes carried a daring, almost challenging, look in her eyes. When she saw Lloyd, Audra gave Lloyd an endearing smile as she looked at the boy she cared for so much, his presence giving her an instant sense of happiness. Lloyd couldn't help, but feel himself melt a bit under such a loving expression from his crush, and not just that, his cheeks began to heat up again as well.
