"I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul."
― Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

Her mom was smiling all throughout the week, and Orm found it creepy. Well, of course, she wanted to see her mother happy, but it was the first time she saw her mom singing to her roses in the garden when she passed by this morning. She knew that her mother was fond of her garden, but she was not aware that it was that bad.

During the weekdays, she works as the Chief Development Officer of Food Resources for the company, where she ensures that the company implements the food standards set by HACCP by monitoring safe food handling practices. She can no longer party every night like before, so her weekends are now reserved for partying and going all out with her group of friends. But for two weeks now, instead of going straight home, she finds herself sleeping at Charlotte and Engfah's, her best friend's wife. It's been two weeks since she last saw her.

She didn't know what happened that day. She was just so stressed about the upcoming meeting with the Food Safety Team and found herself craving her comfort food, so she stopped by the grocery store nearby. That's the only thing she wanted, but fate seems so cruel, and they really ended up colliding.

She saw red. Even though she doesn't know where the overwhelming hatred towards her former lover came from. She thought she had already drowned all those things years ago with loud music and alcohol. Damn, she even had her fun dating guys. But seeing Ling again cracked a vessel within her that she didn't even know existed. After seeing Ling, instead of eating her comfort food, she went straight to the bar of Engfah on Sukhumvit Soi, where she and Charlotte used to hang out during their college days because her friend was trying to get the owner's attention.

She just got drunk without saying anything, and Char took care of her, but when it happened the second Saturday, Char couldn't help but ask her friend.
