Valentina's pov:

I woke up around an hour ago and ever since then I've been trying to find Blake. Her security told me she's away but she's not answering her phone and it's concerning me. What if Gerald took her as well?

With a cigarette between my lips and with my back against the wall I sigh deeply. Blowing out the smoke and letting my eyes linger on the white clouds of the morning sky. I got some sleep last night but I kept waking up as I am so so concerned about my sister and what that monster is doing to her. Just the fact our men aren't making progress is fucking scary.

A black SUV pulls in next to my car and I immediately spot Blake exiting the car in a hurry with a bottle of whiskey in her hand. She doesn't notice me and walks over to one of my guys, clearly asking him where I am. He points over to me and Blake turns to me walking over.

I drop the cigarette from my hand onto the floor and step on it to turn it off, while blowing the last of the smoke in my mouth.

"Where were you?" I ask as she comes closer while crossing my arms.

"Val, I-I went to see my dad-" she waves the whiskey bottle towards the car and I widen my eyes in shock.

"Why did you do that?" I inquisit.

"I had to get information out of him, and I did and-and, Val I don't know what to do." She runs a hand through her locks and I feel my bretahing increase as I step closer to her, a faint smell of alcohol invading my nose.

"What did he say Blake?" I sternly question and she meets my gaze with an apologetic look. A sense of panic fills me as she keeps eye contact for a few more minutes.

"He-he said it's a trap and he didn't order a kidnapping of Lily he-he ordered-" she pauses, tears filling her eyes.

"Blake. What is it?"

"He ordered your murder." She chokes on the last word. "But he took your sister so she can watch as-as he kills you, but-but he said Gerald wanted to cause you more pain and all he onows is Lily might already be dead." A couple of tears slip down her cheek and I feel my heartbeat in my eyes as I take in the heavy words which fell from Blake's lips.

My feet feel light for a second and I stumble back managing to catch myself on the wall behind me.

"No, no, no." I shake my head as Blake gets on my level, placing the bottle of whiskey on the floor. "No, not her, no please." Tears now stream down my cheeks as I shake my head. "Please Blake tell me your lying, please."

"I'm sorry Val. I'm so fucking sorry." She apolgises as we cry together. I feel myself meet the floor as I sob, trying to comprehend the information Blake just gave me.

The blonde sits down in front of me, knocking the bottle of whiskey in process, causing it to spill all over the floor, soaking some of our clothes. She curses under her breath before opening her arms. "Come here."

Hesitantly I fall into her embrace. She envelops me tightly and it makes me cry even more. "We'll find him and I swear to you I will find Lily alive, even if I have to search the world I will find her for you." The blue eyes woman whispers while she holds me and I feel myself being transported back to the same feeling if safety in her arms I had when I was 18.

Her arms have always been a safe place for me at least until my father made it seem as the enemy zone. Ever since then I had no safe space and it feels good to feel safe again.
