Dayvon pulled up to Destiny's house with a grin on his face, leaning against his sleek black car. He was dressed casually but fly, wearing a fresh white tee, some designer jeans, and a pair of kicks that looked brand new.
Destiny opened the door, stepping out in a simple yet stunning outfit: jeans, a cute top, and sneakers that perfectly matched his. She couldn't help but smile as she saw him waiting by the car.
"Hey, you ready for this?" Von asked, flashing that signature grin as she walked up.
"Yeah, I'm ready. Where are we going again?" she teased, knowing full well he'd told her earlier.
"The aquarium," Von replied, chuckling.
"I figured you might like to see some fish or somethin'. Plus, it's been a minute since we've had a real date."
Destiny's heart fluttered at the thought. It was small, and simple, but exactly what she needed. A break from all the drama.
"That sounds perfect," she said as she hopped into the passenger seat.
The drive to the aquarium was smooth, filled with light conversation and laughs as Von kept the vibe relaxed. When they arrived, Destiny felt a wave of excitement rush through her. She hadn't been to an aquarium in years, and being here with Von made it even better.
As they walked through the exhibits, Von kept close to her side, making comments on the different sea creatures and joking around.
"Look at this one," he said, pointing to a giant stingray gliding gracefully through the water.
"That one looks like it's plotting on somebody."
Destiny giggled. "You always think everything is out to get you."
"Nah, I just stay ready, shawty" he replied, giving her a playful nudge.
They wandered through the aquarium, stopping at each exhibit to admire the colorful fish, the jellyfish that glowed in the dark, and the massive sharks that swam by with a quiet intensity.
At one point, they stood in front of the large floor-to-ceiling tank, watching as schools of fish swirled around them, creating a mesmerizing display of colors and movement.
Destiny leaned into Von's side, feeling the warmth of his arm around her as they watched the tank in silence. For the first time in a long time, she felt... calm. No drama. No complications. Just them.
"You know," Destiny started, glancing up at him. "I've been thinking a lot lately."
"'Bout what?" Von asked, looking down at her, his expression soft.
"About us," she admitted. "I think... I'm ready to be your girl. For real."
Von raised an eyebrow, a slow smile spreading across his face. "For real? You serious?"
