Lucy and the others reached the tracking room, the atmosphere tense with anticipation. She approached one of the officers seated at the console. "We need to find the location of a number," she said urgently.
Ryan stepped forward, pulling out his phone. "The number is..." He quickly read off the digits, his voice steady despite the anxiety etched on his face.
The officer began typing the information into the system, the room falling into a focused silence as they waited for the results.
After a few tense minutes, the officer looked up from the screen. "We've got a location," he announced, his voice breaking the silence. "It's near the countryside, in the middle of Okaloosa County."
Lucy, Clay, and Ryan exchanged puzzled looks. "Okaloosa County?" Clay muttered, frowning. "What the hell are they even doing out there?"
Ryan shook his head, clearly confused. "It's a remote area. There's nothing but woods and a few abandoned farms out that way."
Lucy took a deep breath, determination flashing in her eyes. "Whatever it is, we need to get there. Now."
Clay, trying to lighten the tension, smirked and said, "Yeah, sure, let's go. We should probably carry a shovel too."
Ryan and Lucy both turned to him, their expressions serious and puzzled. "What?" Ryan asked, raising an eyebrow.
Clay shrugged casually. "I don't know," he said with a forced chuckle, "maybe we're gonna need it."
Lucy narrowed her eyes, her voice sharp. "You're a Dick, Clay. Few minutes ago I thought you're getting serious.
Clay's smirk faded, and he nodded. "Yeah, I know. Just trying to keep things from feeling too grim. Let's go find them."
As Lucy and Clay settled into her car, Ryan climbed into the back seat, carrying a shovel. The three sat in silence for a few moments before Lucy glanced back, puzzled.
"Ryan?" she asked.
"Yeah?" he replied, looking up.
"Why did you bring that shovel?"
Ryan shrugged. "Officer Clay said to bring it."
Clay turned around, confusion etched across his face. "Wait, Where did you even find that shovel?"
Ryan gave a sheepish grin. "I asked your assistant back at Officer Lucy's office. I just told him you needed it, and he brought me one."
Clay blinked, stunned. "You actually got my assistant to fetch a shovel?"
Ryan nodded earnestly. "Yeah, I mean, you said we might need it, right?"
Lucy shook her head, a half-amused, half-exasperated smile forming on her lips. "Alright, everyone. Enough about the shovel. Let's focus."
Clay chuckled softly, unable to contain his amusement. Lucy turned to him, her eyes narrowing.
"Clay, I swear, I'm going to smack you right in the face," she said, her voice laced with mock seriousness. "Don't test my patience."
Clay raised his hands in mock surrender, still grinning. "Okay, okay, I get it. No more jokes about shovels or anything else. Promise."
Ryan watched the two of them, the tension easing slightly. "You guys are something else," he muttered, shaking his head with a small smile as the car sped toward their destination.
Meanwhile, Henry, Jacob, and Alison were desperately searching for Ryan others. Knowing they couldn't go to the police and with no clear idea of where to start, they decided to revisit Ryan's place. Exhausted and running out of options, they hoped that being there might somehow lead them to a breakthrough.
