It had been a long week. Lia had been constantly tense looking over her shoulder consistently. She didn't know if she would get another vision to show her what would happen next. Maybe they hadn't made a choice yet. Maybe they had given up? It was a stupid thought. She saw them one time, that's not enough to scare anyone away.
No show of force had been shown on their part though. The man she had seen had gazed at her quizzically. As if he was studying her. Sizing her up for when the moment came, but she also knew that in that moment if she hadn't had been aware he would have snatched her up faster than the twins could have left the building. She had been cursing herself mentally every day since. She couldn't believe she had let her safety slip her mind so quickly.
She wasn't used to this. The wolf, her mates, the threats. She had only been there a month and someone wanted her dead, who knew how many more would want to spill her blood if they knew who she was. What she was. If her mom had only given up she might not be faced with this now. As she lay in bed tears threatened to escape her eyes. The twins had been sent to their respective room last, they needed to pack for their new room change today. She didn't have much belongings to her name but she had what she wanted and needed and that was enough for her.
As she sat up she rubbed her eyes. Another sleepless night full of nightmares to the point she gave up trying. It's exactly as if her brain was thinking of everything that could go wrong. Her fear that it would. It didn't help that Tira was constantly worried for her as well. Constantly pacing in her mind. She was going crazy too from all the feelings Lia sent her way. It was a lot to bare. She knew the twins felt it too.
No amount of soothing voices or calming touches could fully satiate the fear that took her body over. If she was to get an introduction to the supernatural couldn't it have been a kinder one?
She sighed as she finally stood up on weary legs. Shaking her head she went to her bathroom and began her routine. She brushed her teeth and washed her face and as she was brushing her hair and looking in the mirror a vision hit her mind. It was her. She was in a cage, but this time she wasn't wired like she had been. Her body lay cold and pale on the metal floor. Blood pooled around her but she couldn't find the source of it. No wounds lay across her body. Not even a bruise. But she laid there lifeless. All the warmth she had once had in her was gone, and as she examined herself further a man suddenly approached as she walked around her he began to speak.
"I told you I'd have you." He spoke as he brushed along her body with his fingers. A shiver went down her spine as she watched frozen. "You're only a part of my plan. The beginning to an end, and now that I've taken you. You will forever be mine. There is no escape from me." He said as he finally reached her head and as he peered down at her he grinned. It was full of malice. The evil radiated off him so strongly it choked her.
She grabbed her throat as she watched him produce a knife. The edges were sharp and serrated and as it gleamed in the light at her mockingly. she watched in horror as he cut off her mating marks. Lia came crashing back into reality as she fell to the floor. A sob escaped her mouth at what she had just witnessed. He planned to cut her mates off from her so she really would never be able to leave.
What did he want with her, what was he planning? Thoughts swarmed her mind as she tried to stand, but it was no use. As a high pitched ringing entered her mind she looked up at the bathroom light as sleep and darkness consumed her.
