Amelia's eyes cracked open as she stared up at the ceiling. The lights above her flickered every few seconds giving her a dizzying effect as she blinked back her exhaustion. she slowly sat up paying mind to the slight throb in her head. She stayed quiet for fear of alerting any one of her being awake, but as she spotted the camera in the upper corner of the room she knew her silence wouldn't matter.
Whoever had her could see her. She felt uneasy as she gazed up into the camera, the red light letting her know it was active. She took the time to look around and see she was in a padded room. The floor she sat upon was cushiony and contorted to her body fitting her snug into it. Padded rooms only meant one thing, she wouldn't have an opportunity to hurt herself.
Her captor was sure to make her wish for death. As her thoughts began racing she heard a hinge creak and she scurried into the furthest corner of her room making as much space between the door and her as she could, curling in on herself to appear smaller. she waited expectantly. As the door cracked open her breath caught in her throat. The man with the gash across his eye stepped through the door a bored look in his face as his eyes glanced around the room before landing on her.
He smiled that same one he had in her dream and chills ran up her spine. She felt Tira pacing in her mind, lunging to get out and protect Lia but an invisible barrier held her in. That man has done something to us, I cannot come forward. Tira's desperate voice rang through Lia's mind as she whimpered. The man clapped his hands together making her jump as he laughed. "You my dear are a hard wolf to get ahold of, but here you are, so not entirely impossible." He said as his smile grew to something different.
She couldn't quite tell what it was but she knew he would show her sooner or later. This man didn't see like the type to take his time. The man took another step in the room and Lia tensed. He chuckled and held his hands up harmlessly but she knew he was anything but harmless. Those visions were given to her for a reason. He stopped a couple more steps into the room and lowered his hands, stuffing them in his pants pocket.
He tilted his head to the side "You don't look like much." He spoke as he stared at her, as if with a magnifying glass to see how worthy she was to him. She cringed but said nothing. He cleared his throat before speaking "I am Dr. Denalie Lockjasent, But call me Dr. Den." He said while looking at her. Lia tilted her head up in defiance "I doubt I'll be able to call you anything with what you plan on doing to me." She barked out and he chuckled, a dark sound making Lia cringe again.
"If you make it easy for me, you won't have such a hard time. However, if you fight me, I don't necessarily need you alive." He said with a wink like him threatening to kill her was casual conversation. Her mouth dried. He was only keeping her alive to offer that as his only kindness. Or maybe he was saying that to make her compliant and he would end up killing her anyways. She couldn't trust him, and she wouldn't ever be able to.
Her lip quivered "What are you going to do to me.." she asked hoping he would give a answer, but as he smiled and turned away from her she knew she wouldn't get a word. He paused at the door and without looking over his shoulder he spoke "it's not what I'm going to do to you.. it's what you're going to do to yourself." And with that he was gone and the door clicked shut.
She ran to the door and pulled on the handle trying with all her strength to get the door to give she screamed Tiras name in her mind but she never came forward. As Lia sunk to the floor sobs wracked her body and as she stared up at the flickering lights in her room she begged the moon goddess to save her.
