Chapter 6

Laura was roughly woken up by an irked voice and tight shake

"Wake up damn it !" Said the voice

Laura peeled open her eyes to see she was in a foreign room and in an unfamiliar bed. She gazed around and met the glare of Captain hovering over her.

"What do you want ?" She asked half awake

"I want you to get out of my house and fast, the cars will be at the grounds soon and you're still in bed "

It took her mind a moment to process what he said, when it hit her that today was the day she'd start of the journey to fulfilling her dream and becoming a knight. She sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"Oh right "

She pushed off the soft fluffy blanket, her body felt cold without it and placed her socked feet on the tile. Captain pointed at a door.

"I give you five minutes Laura, go shower and do whatever else you have to and meet me downstairs." He walked out banging the door

"What did that door ever do to you ?" She muttered

It took her less than five minutes to get ready, she wore what she came with, brown thick tights a black shirt and boots. She came downstairs to see Captain in the kitchen brewing coffee, her things were near the door.

"Do you want some coffee ?" He asked not turning to her

"Ew, no " she answered in disgust "what I want is food"

He shook his head "there's no time for that, they'll serve you breakfast when you get to the castle."

Laura's eyes widened a bit "we're actually going to enter the castle ?" She beamed

"That is what I've been saying isn't it ?"

Captain's wife came downstairs and wobbled to the kitchen giving her husband a kiss, a little to long for Laura's comfort.

"I don't want you to go" she pouted

"I don't want to leave too Love, but you know I can't stay either, I have help train the Legion" he said lightly wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Can't they do without you for a few more months ?"

"I've been home for six and a half months Love, I have to go back. "

They stood and hugged in a comfortable silence, while Laura sat on the floor beside the door waiting to leave. She cleared her throat.

"If you're done could we leave. Now. " She said impatiently

They groaned as they separated, Captain shot her a glare.

"I love you " said wife

"I love you more " Captain answered lovey dovey

"Wanna bet ?" Laura muttered

He must have heard her as he gave his wife a final kiss and turned to the door pleading through his gaze. Captain's chauffeur drove them to the former battle grounds, the newly selected Legion members scattered infront of the gates most of them had little luggage like herself then some such as Dayne and Andrew had three suitcases and duffel bags full of weapons. Just as they stepped out dozens of black quantum cars arrived.

"Legion knights get in the cars " Captain hollered

"Did you just come out of the same car as Captain ?" Matthew asked coming beside her

"Long story " Laura muttered rushing to the nearest quantum with Matthew close behind

They sat at the back, Laura having the window seat, their car was loud and chatty through out the two hour drive. Laura tried to keep up with the amount of towns and cities they passed through till she fell asleep.
Trumpets sounded as the cars entered the castle gates, cheers and shouts of what sounded like a thousand men erupted from outside.
