Kelli's POV
I closed the door slowly, trying not to make any noise.
"What was that whole carrying thing about?"
I turned around to see Chris leaning against a door frame across the hall.
"Excuse me?"
"You carrying her, I thought I talked about this," he said, walking toward me.
"She has a fever and fainted, I need to get her to bed somehow," I explained, standing up straight. He looked down at me.
"I told you to back off."
"Listen, I'm her butler; I can't exactly do that. How did you even get in here?"
"I have my ways. Now, get out of the way so I can see her."
"I can't have that, she's resting."
He tried pushing me, only to get a harder push from me. "Watch it!"
"I said she's resting. Go and come back another time," I said again, watching as he came at me again. I got ready, my fist colliding with his chest. He stumbled back, angry radiating off of his body.
"Get out of the way," he demanded, throwing a punch. I ducked, his hand hitting the door. I pushed him down. He hit the floor with aloud thud.
"You must be quiet," I warned calmly, "My Mistress is sleeping."
He growled, kicking my ankles and bringing me to the ground. He tackled me and punched the floor next to my face. I dodged most of his punches until one hit me on my right eye.
"Christopher, you might want to stop. If you wake Mistress and she see you, she won't want to be with you."
He paused, retreating quickly from the scene. I dusted myself off, getting up and checking on Mariska. She was spread out across her bed. Her covers were off the bed. Her large white shirt was shoved her hips, showing off her bottom half. I stared, not able to stop. I put the blankets back on her bed and kissed her again.

Mariska's POV
I woke up at midnight with the worst headache I've ever experienced. I got up and roamed the halls, trying to find Kelli who had become my main source for everything.
I found her bedroom door with a line of light coming from the bottom crack of the door. I knocked lightly.
"Come in!"
I entered the room to see Kelli with a large white shirt identical to mine with no pants on, and glasses on. She was focused on a book... And I swear, I've never seen anything this sexy.
"Kelli..."
She looked up from her book, her glasses sliding down slightly. She must've realized she was half naked because she pulled the covers over legs.
"Can I help you?" She asked, marking her page and putting her book down.
I sat down beside her, maybe too close but I was too tired to care, "I have the worst headache, know any cures?"
Her bed was pretty small, twin sized. She was looking around for clothes.
"You don't need pants, just come help me," I told her. She nodded and stood up. She and I walked to the kitchen. "I didn't know you wore glasses."
"They're reading glasses. I was reading before I went to bed. Anyway, your only remedy possible right now is green tea with honey."
Started boiling water, then got out tea and honey. "Thanks by the way."
She looked up, "Only the best for my Mistress."
"That's becoming your catchphrase," I chuckled. She grinned sheepishly, taking her glasses off and putting them down. "Who did that to you?"
Her hand covered her eye, "I don't know what you're talking about."
I pulled her hand away, my hand lingering against her cheek. "That black eye."
"Okay... So, Chris came here today after you passed out and wanted to see you. I knew you were tired and needed to sleep so I told him to come back later. He started pushing me and I punched his chest. He tackled me and punched my face... He didn't even kiss it."
"Why did he stop?" I asked, my hand sill on her cheek. My thumb rubbing the purple bruise softly.
"I told him that if he woke you up and you saw him, you wouldn't want to be with him."
I pulled my hand away when she got up to take the water off the stove. I still felt the warmth of her face against my hand. She came back moments later with a cup in hand.
"Sorry, probably shouldn't have beat him up," she mumbled, looking away.
"I'm not happy when I'm woken up, thanks. Besides, he annoying," I said to her, my hand covering hers.
"Then how come you wanted to desperately say goodbye two or three days ago?"
"I did that?" She nodded.
"I was drunk! I wasn't thinking!"
She smiled, "Are you sure? You sound pretty defensive?"
I blushed, "Fine, he's my friend, but only my boyfriend for outside."
"Okay..."
I just sipped my tea, trying not to punch her.
"If he was my boyfriend, wouldn't I be mad at you for punching him?" I teased. She sat up and propped her glasses on her face.
"I'm using these because I feel smarter, boyfriends can be annoying, and he deserved it."
"I know I'm not the happiest when I wake up, but he didn't deserve a punch for that."
"You don't remember?" she asked, her eyes filled with surprise. I shook my head. "He was forcing himself onto you, when you said stop."
I didn't say anything at first, not wanting to believe it. "Why did he stop?"
"I pushed him away."
"You always protect me from him."
"He was forcing himself onto you! And I didn't want you to relive that," she explained, whispering the last part.
My brows furrowed, trying to hide the sadness in my eyes. "You honestly don't have to do that."
She looked at me, "But I care about you!" She tapped the side of my head lightly with her next statement. "Get. That. Through. Your. Head."
I chuckled, " I get it. Thanks, I don't think anyone's actually cared before."
"Well, I hope you're enjoying it because I'm not gonna stop caring," she said, squeezing my hand. I looking at our hands, her hand now holding mine back.
"I know, it's a nice feeling..."
We sat there in silence before she asked, "Your headache any better?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah. Thanks."
I finished my tea and walked back to my room, feeling better.
"Forgetting someone?"
I looked over my shoulder, "Sorry, I'm heading to bed."
She stopped at the stairs, getting ready to go down. "Alright, goodnight."
"Night."
