Umupo si Eirlys sa swivel chair saka pumikit. She had a long day, wala na nga rin siyang oras para sa anak niya. She was too focused on solving issues of the hospital, good thing she'd done it already.
"Get home when you're done!" wika niya sa secretary saka dumiretso sa elevator.
It was still early kaya naisipan niyang dumaan sa 3rd floor kung saan naroon ang office ni Verdith at Sam. They got promoted a year ago, Verdith became the head of OB, While Sam became the head surgeon of Neuro. And since their Departments are on the same floor, they decided to share office.
"Doc good afternoon!" bati nang nurse na nasa nurse station.
"Doc Verj is here?"
"Doc, day off niya. " agad na sagot nito.
"Doc Sam?"
"Si Doc Sam naman po may operation kaninang 2 and hanggang ngayon hindi pa po tapos."
"Okay, thank you."
Bumalik nalang siya sa dinadaanan niya saka dumiretso sa elevator.
"Doc Eirlys?"
Napalingon siya sa tumawag sa kanya. It was Doc Gav, kakalabas lang nito galing sa isang private room ng pasyente.
"Doc Gav." bati niya rito.
"I heard you're taking over the hospital temporarily?"
Tumango siya saka lumapit rito.
"Do you have time? We actually had a VIP patient and we don't have any available doctors for urine analysis. So I was thinking if you could check it for me? I just noticed that it's complicated and I need your advise."
She looked puzzled while looking at Gav, that kind of trivial matters was basic to him but why is he asking her about it? Hindi na siya nagtanong pa saka tumingin siya sa orasan niya saka tumango.
"Sure! Maaga pa naman."
Sumunod siya rito saka sila dumiretso sa elevator at pinindot ang 5th floor kung saan naroon ang mga VIP rooms.
Kinuha ni Gav sa nurse station ang record ng pasyente saka siya sumunod rito.
"Good afternoon!" bati ni Gav ng buksan ang pintuan. She automatically stops from getting in when she saw Storm looking directly at her.
'It's too late!'
"Doc!" sambit ni Daniel saka kumaway sa kanya. Ngumiti siya rito saka tumingin kay Storm na walang emosyong nakatingin sa kanya.
Bumabalik naman sa alaala niya ang araw kung saan una niya itong nakita na ganun ang tingin nito sa kanya.
"Doc Eirlys?" agad siyang tumingin kay Gav ng tawagin siya nito saka mapaklang ngumiti at tuluyang pumasok.
"Eirlys hija!" masayang sambit ng ina ni Storm na nakahiga sa kama.
"I think it's not necessary to introduce you since you knew each other. We don't have available doctor to check on you that's why I called Doc Eirlys."
Binigay ni Gav kay Eirlys ang lab results nito, saka lumapit sa Ginang.
"How are you Hija?" tanong nito.
"I'm fine po. How are you feeling po?" tanong niya rito habang nasa blood test result, saka sa Urine Test Result at MRI Scan nito.
"Okay lang naman ako, masyado lang nag-aalala si Storm kaya isinugod ako rito."
"Sa case niyo po hindi naman gaanong malala ang kondisyon ninyo. Alam niyo naman kung gaano kahalaga ang kidney natin. It's a good thing you've run tests because that's very important to identify what happen to our kidney. Sa kaso niyo, your creatinine po which is yung dumi galing sa mga muscles po natin na nakikita sa dugo niyo po is mas mataas kaysa sa normal level which means hindi siya gaanong delikado pero dapat parin natin maagapan. Sa MRI naman if ikokompara natin sa normal na kidney meron talaga siyang abnormalities. But if we follow healthy diet po and regular check ups, and testing for protein in your urine and serum creatinine makikita po natin if may progress ba sa kidney natin. Since diabetic po tayo doble ingat lang po sa kinakain. "
