Seis: Getting to Know

A day had passed since she moved into that house and she started to feel familiar with the place. She put some decorations and designs in every corner that keeps the ambience of the house livelier.

From lifeless to a lively one and the plants adds on to the atmosphere. She stared at their wedding photo and realized something was off. So she called Daniel to change the photo into another one where they are in one frame. Naalala niya may pic sila na naroon sa kasal kaya yun ang pinagawa niya kay Daniel na sinunod naman nito.

Sam video called her and can't stop laughing at what she did. "Gaga ka talaga, nakikibahay ka lang tapos kung ano na ginagawa mo." natatawang sambit nito sa kabilang linya.

"Of course, this will add on to my plan to make him talk to his grandpa. Para mahawaan siya sa ambiance ng bahay. Besides we're husband and wife." wika niya.

Tumatawa naman ang kaibigan sa kabilang linya. They chatted for more than an hour and when Sam ended the call she headed back inside to take a nap.

She wokes up in the middle of her nap when she heard some noise outside of her room. It was already night time.

She was half-awake when she walks out of her room and opens the door.

She shouted so loud when she saw a man in black. He covered his mouth, and the lights on the second floor turned on, revealing his furrowed brow.

 Umakyat si Daniel at nakatingin sa kanila. Napakamot sa ulo saka bumalik sa baba.

"Kailangan ba sumigaw?" he asked in a sarcastic voice.

"Who wouldn't scream if you're walking in the dark, dressed in black? Kampon ka ba ng kadiliman?"masungit na tanong niya saka umirap rito.

"What are you doing here?" tanong nito saka inilibot ang tingin sa paligid. As usual with his emotionless face asf. "What happened to my house?" 

"Ayaw mo? Mas buhay na siya tingnan di gaya mo." she answered and smiled at him.

"Who let you in?" 

"Myself. I'm the wife of course I can get inside whenever I want. Para namang hindi ka rin pumupunta sa bahay." 

Hindi ito umimik saka iniwan siya. Pero sinundan niya ito hanggang sa kwarto nito. Inilahad niya ang kanyang kamay sa harap nito na animo may hinihingi. Tumaas naman ang kilay nito sa ginawa niya.

"What?" tanong nito.

"Where is it?" 

"The what?" 

"Pasalubong? Souvenir? Hello? Wala ka talagang pakiramdam noh? Kahit man lang kaunting pasalubong from Sicily wala kang dala."

"It's not my thing."

"Boring mo kausap." She turned around and walks out of his room. Naisip naman niya na kailangan niya pala itong mapapayag na makausap ang Chairman nito kaya pumasok siya ulit.

She was stunned and froze on her feet when she saw him half naked. His lean, muscular physique suggested a man who was both strong and agile. He had an aura of mystery that was both alluring and unsettling.

Hindi man lang ito natinag and nagpatuloy lang sa ginagawa. Agad siyang tumalikod saka halos takbuhin na ang pintuan ng kwarto niya.

Huminga siya ng malalim saka dahan-dahang naglakad patungong kama niya.

The next morning, Eirlys woke up early and headed to the kitchen for coffee. She saw Daniel and the worker in the kitchen preparing some sandwiches for breakfast.

"Is he awake?" tanong niya kay Daniel saka nito tinuro ang lawn area ng bahay. Tumango siya saka kinuha ang tinimplang kape saka nagtungo sa lawn kung saan may isang area roon na may marble chair and table. Nakaupo roon si Storm habang may ginagawa sa laptop nito.
