"You sleep on the couch." sambit ni Eirlys kay Storm nang makalabas ito mula sa banyo suot ang pantulog nito.
He was even wearing the same sleepwear that she's wearing.
Napansin kasi niya kanina sa closet nito na nandun pa ang mga gamit niya. Maayos na nakalagay lahat, it looks like it was still the same as how it used to be five years ago.
Hindi naman ito nagsalita at dire-diretsong naglakad palapit sa kanya at humiga sa tabi niya.
She rolled her eyes in disbelief saka tumayo at kinuha ang kumot. Hindi pa naman siya nakakatayo ng hinila nito ang kamay niya at matumba siya sa ibabaw nito.
He wrapped his hands around her waist and rolled over the bed.
"What the heck is wrong with you!" sita niya pero hindi ito nakinig. Niyakap siya nito ng mahigpit saka pumikit. Pilit naman niyang tinatanggal ang kamay nitong nakayapos sa bewang niya.
She sighed in disbelief. She stared at the ceiling contemplating things that had happened.
After everything, she still found herself being with him.
'Would Nate be happy if he met his father?'
Hahayaan niya ba ang sarili niyang tuluyang mahulog rito? Inaamin niya, sa mga araw na nagdaan na lagi itong sumusulpot sa harap niya. He would do everything to see her, she kinda felt happy thinking about it but also feared about what might happen.
"What are you thinking?"
Napatingin siya rito ng magsalita ito. Nakatingin ito sa kanyang mga mata, nagtatanong.
Umiwas siya ng tingin rito. Saka umayos ito ng higa saka siya hinila palapit rito at pinaunan sa braso nito.
"I wish we could stay like this for good."
She closed her eyes while thinking what will happen to them in the near future.
Dati lagi niyang naiisip yung sarili niya kasama si Storm, titira sila sa iisang bahay.
"I have something for you!" bulong ni Storm sa kanya kaya siya napadilat at tumingala rito.
Tumambad sa kanya ang isang necklace na may pendant na singsing.
"I've been keeping this for you actually. I saw this at your condo before. I tried a lot of times before to made you wear it for me but I didn't get a chance to since your hand was injured
He looked so serious while looking at her. She looked at the ring and to him. She was speechless, she can't find a single word to utter.
How could this man treat her like nothing had happened when she's the one who left five years ago.
"Aren't you mad that I left years ago? You're confusing me, really!" sambit niya habang nakatingin sa mga mata nito.
"Well, does it matter? What matters is that you're back. Besides I was at fault before for not doing my best in our marriage. I just want to look at what will happen not what already happened."
Hindi siya sumagot rito at nakatingin lang sa singsing.
Tinanggal nito iyon sa kwentas ang singsing at kinuha ang kamay niya.
Agad niyang binawi ang kamay niya saka tumingin rito.
"I didn't say I'd wear that!" sambit niya.
Storm looked at her in a serious face. Looking disappointed.
"I have all the means to make you wear it babe. Try me." mahinang sambit nito sa malumanay na boses na may pagbabanta.
Hindi siya makapaniwalang tumingin rito saka inirapan ito. Nang kinuha nito ang kamay niya ay hindi na siya umangal pa at hinayaan lang itong isuot sa daliri niya ang singsing.
