Chapter 22

Boun woke up in the morning all broken and found that he had fallen asleep on the living room floor. He just got drunk and fell on the floor and stayed there until morning. Boun now slowly sat up rubbed his temples and looked around. He found that Ohm and Kao were in a similar state, just lying on the couch. Boun stayed seated, trying to remember what happened last night, and then all the images from the previous day popped into his brain.

The argument with Prem in the study, the warehouse fire, and how he'd hit Prem. Those eyes and that look haunted him even in his dreams. And then the sight of Prem's back as he ran from him. Boun's pupils dilated now, and he reached for his phone, which was lying on the floor not far from him.

"Damn, it's true, Scorpion has Prem." Boun wailed, looking at the picture of a bound Prem on his phone.
How could he let this happen? He should have told Prem at the time that his father had visited him, talked to him about it, and maybe they could have come up with some solutions. Prem always came up with solutions. Boun now regretted all the words he had said to Prem in his anger. And the punch to his face. He'd hit his Omega...well, now Prem definitely wouldn't want to be his Omega. After all, he must have lost all the trust he had put in him.

"I put my trust in you, don't let me down Hia." Boun's voice rang in his ears now as he sat up, his hands covering his face.

He was probably going to die today anyway, soon that feeling of confusion would be gone. Surely he would trade his life for Prem's. He owed it to him since his family had died. He owes it to him for lying to him. He owes it to him for the patience Prem had with him. He owes it to him for the nasty words he said to him, he owes it to him for the punch he gave him..... He loved Prem and he owed him for dragging him into his world.
 Now Ohm and Kao were awake and looking sleepily at Boun, who was sitting on the ground in a state of devastation. Like Boun, their memories of the previous day and what awaited them today came flooding back. Eventually, they waited together for the drunken haze to disappear from their minds. When they sobered up, they had six hours until their meeting with Scorpion.

" You can't just go in there without a tracking device. We'll come with you, take our cars and follow you from afar. I'm sure you'll get a ride somewhere if he wants to meet in the parking garage. " Ohm suggested, and Kao agreed with his plan.

" No, I have to go there alone, Scorpion wrote it clearly, if he finds any tracking device on me he will surely do something to Prem...I would do that if I kidnapped someone. " Boun decided.

"Look Boun, I know you hurt Prem and you love him, but you wouldn't trade your life for his. Think it over." Ohm was not to be deterred.

"I like Prem too, he's a great guy, but..." Kao didn't finish

" You don't understand, besides, I've already made up my mind. I have to do what's right for once in my life. " Boun ended their conversation and left the room to his bedroom.
Boun stood by the bed, where he and Prem had a wonderful time. He lay down on the bed and pulled Prem's pillow into his arms and buried his face in it, taking in the scent. The beautiful jasmine scent brought tears to his eyes. He wished he could fall asleep now and not wake up. Boun lay like that for two hours, curled up in a ball, hugging his pillow. He thought about his life. About all the information his father had thrown in his face and now he was sorry he hadn't stood up to him and told him to go to hell. I'm sure some of you are thinking that he's a grown man who shouldn't give in to pressure so easily, but our souls are so fragile inside sometimes. We may be grown women, mothers, husbands, fathers, but our insides are still fragile and impressionable. Prem understood his innermost, he had never given up on him before, when he became his Omega, he was always by his side. He never blamed him for anything, he considered everything wisely and found a solution. He didn't walk away, even though he left him alone in the toilets that time. He didn't make a scene when a girl hit on him in a bar. Prem was Prem and he was the only one. He was his Omega and Boun would do anything to save him today.

As the time for Boun's departure began to approach, Boun went downstairs where Ohm and Kao were still waiting for him. Boun wanted to say goodbye to them, he was hard on them at times, they were his employees, but in the end they were also his only friends. Boun had expressly forbidden them to get involved in the whole situation. He took his own personal car without a driver. He made sure no one was watching him as he left and drove to the address he had given.
