Chapter 31

When everyone was seated in the meeting room after the busy welcome outside the headquarters, silence fell. The two groups measured each other and stared at each other. Prem and Boun sat at the head of the table and Mix sat to Prem's right while Ohm and Kao sat next to Boun.

Ohm was still slightly upset from the whole previous situation and was massaging his neck to relax it, still a little short of breath. Prem's scent had the biggest effect on him, as Prem was closest to him. Prem sat with his arms folded and his back straight, looking straight at everyone. His eyes were glowing a pure blue now, with no red admixture, even so it was a little frightening to some. Many of them, including his people on the Team o had never seen him like this before. They all respected Prem, liked him, took him at his word because they knew he helped them and meant well. Prem had their respect, even though they were stronger Alphas and he was an Omega... well now he didn't seem so ordinary an Omega. They had always known the young man was special, but they had never seen him use his fangs and the pheromones he had released into the air earlier could suffocate a person if he wanted to. But Prem didn't want to, it was just a defense mechanism. Prem was a very unconflicted person at his core, but you know that my dear readers. " Okay, I have your attention, let's get started." Prem said sharply, knowing he couldn't let his voice go. He always spoke kindly to his employees, but here were Alphas who were not under his command and he was not allowed to show weakness.

" For those who don't know, my name is Prem Warut and I am a Scorpion, yes I lead the former Red Dragon gang...and yes I said former. My Team hasn't been involved in any illegal activities since I took over from Mix here, that's why I don't like the gang designation. Our business is clean and legal, we are a connected network of companies...we are the Team...we are family and friends and there is no place for illegal things in our Team. I want to say this at the beginning to make things clear. Our moves may seem illegal at times, but no, we do not sell drugs or distribute weapons, no bribery or extortion." Prem began his monologue and continued:

" My family was killed in a car chase by your gangs and I was the only survivor. I promised my family that I would not let this happen to anyone else, my plan was simple and that was to eradicate all the illegal mafia world in this territory. Yes, it's a big plan, but let's face it, I'm very stubborn and determined. That's why I approached Mix and made a deal with him to ensure that the Black Viper gang went bust...that was the original plan, little did I count on some idiot bumping into me at the club and thinking he could get me into bed. And the fact that the mobster is the leader of the Black Viper, the gang I want to destroy, was more of a joke of fate. And the fact that I fell in love with him is really unbelievable, but maybe it could be blamed on the fact that Boun and I are soul mates." Prem smiled at Boun, who took his hand and intertwined their fingers.

"Are you serious you two soul mates...like if this was a K-drama series I'll fire the writer who wrote the script immediately." Kao breathed out, throwing his hands in the air and then resting them on his chest as everyone in the room laughed lightly at the remark.

" Yeah right, you're right Kao, I wouldn't have believed it myself." Prem nodded, a smile playing on his face.
