"Take cover!!"
Bombshells bombard us as we race to cover. My ears ring, and my hands tremble as I watch men fall dead, left and right. A let out a cry, raising my rifle. There's a bang, and I fall backwards, the force of the blow knocking the wind clean out of me. I hear someone call out my name, and everything is suddenly quiet, peaceful....

Logan woke in a pool of sweat, desperate for air. He looked around, realizing where he was. Safe and sound in the mansion. He cursed, retracting his claws, examining his shredded bed sheets. He reached over to check his phone; 3:30 am. He sighed, falling back onto his pillow. He lay there for a while, before giving up on sleep, sitting up. The bare floor was cold on his feet as he made his way through the large, quiet school. The only noise was the ticking of a large grandfather clock somewhere nearby. He walked into the kitchen, opening the fridge. He grabbed milk, closing the fridge and grabbing cereal from the pantry. He grabbed a bowl, sitting at the table. When he went to pour the milk, it plopped into his bowl like jello, and he sighed. Expired. Of course it was. He grunted, throwing the empty carton across the room, his face turning red.

Scott summers, aka Cyclops, who had just come into the room, caught the carton in the air, smirking.

"What's got your panties in a twist?" The mutant asked, tossing the carton into the trash and strolling into the room.

"Nothin' lightsaber" Logan grumbled, pushing his bowl of dried cereal to the side.

"You know, you act all tough and scary, but I'm sure you're just a teddy bear inside" Scott smirked, wrapping his house coat tighter around him. "Jeez it's cold in here." He mumbled. Logan said nothing, just scowled to himself.

"Can't sleep or something?" Scott questioned.
"Somethin' like that." Logan sighed. They sat in awkward silence for a moment, before Scott sighed.

"Try and get some sleep man, we're doing professor interviews tomorrow," he reminded him, giving him one last glance before striding out of the room.

'Why did he even come in here in the first place?' Logan thought to himself, grumbling as he stood and brought his cereal back to the pantry.

***

It has been several hours of pointless interviews. They were trying to find a teacher for the role of gym teacher. Surprisingly, it wasn't an easy task. By the end, Logan was tired and fed up, and didn't really pay much attention to who sat in front of him.

"Name?" He asked gruffly, not even looking up from the paper.

"It says it right there." You say, raising an eyebrow. This makes him look up.

"Pardon?" He asks, not liking your tone.

"My name, it's on the sheet," you remind him, fluttering your eyelashes.

"I suppose it is," he grunts, scowling at you. He has very little hope for this interview.

"Do you have your resume, Y/N L/N?" He asks.

You hand him the paper, and he scans over it. Three years working as a basketball coach and five years as a highschool gym teacher, and a masters degree in teaching. He looks at the age. 24.

"Aren't you quite a bit young to have graduated?" He asks, amused.

"I guess." You shrug. "But really I've been alive since..." you pause to count on your fingers. "1923" you conclude, grinning at him. He only seems shocked for a moment before shaking his head with amusement.

"Unfortunately, you're the most qualified out of everyone today, so, you're hired." He sighs, handing you back your resume.

"Sweet! Thanks man." You stand, and the two of you shake hands.

"You'll get your room tomorrow, just crash on the couch tonight or somthin." He says, dismissing himself, and leaving you with a grin plastered on your face.
