1. Relaxing day at home

Ruben had finally had a day off, the footballing season was hectic this season with the amount of games coming around very quickly. You barely got to see him.

So when you suggested that Ruben would spend the day at home to relax, he was more than happy to oblige.

"So seeing as today is my day off are we just going to lay in bed?" he asked as he opened his eyes as you wrapped a dressing gown around your body.

"If you would like to, I need to make a cup of tea. So guessing you want one?" you asked as he barely lifted his head up from the pillow.

"Someone is a sleepy boy" you cheekily replied as you gently stroked his face before leaving him to rest.

"Here we go amor" you smiled as you past him a cup of tea.

"I do love my tea, I can see why you Brits love it" he laughs as you climb into bed and snuggle up beside him.

"Me too, warms you up on these cosy mornings. I do need a cuddle, I am feeling cold. I now regret not getting food because I can hear my belly rumbling" you laughed as you leaned into him as he wrapped his hand around your stomach.

"I have missed these mornings with you baby" Ruben muttered as he pressed his lips to your cheek.

"I do too, feels really great that we actually have a day off together. Feels like it has been so long since we have had time just us. I have really needed this" you whispered.

"We do need this" he mumbled as you cosied up closer to him.

"What are you watching anyway?" you asked him as you glanced up at the TV.

"No clue, never seen it before. But I am not watching the news. Shall we just start a series and make a proper relaxing day of this I think? because it is still super early. Unless you wanna take another nap because I am so sleepy still" you let out a loud yawn.

"I'll just leave it on this if you want to sleep more, you have been working really hard this week no wonder you are tired. Then I can make us some breakfast if you want" Ruben suggested as you crawled out of bed, taking your dressing gown off.

"Will you stay and cuddle me please?" you pleaded as you laid down beside him as you laid your head gently on his leg.

"Of course I will angel" Ruben pressed a kiss to the side of your head as you cuddled up to him and slowly closed your eyes as you tried to get some sleep.

That was how you spent the rest of the day, laying in bed and sleeping as much as you could.
