Second P.O.V.
Soft laughter and giggles could be heard throughout the cold forest. You step out onto the snow, grabbing a handful of the snow, and throwing them at your siblings. "Haha! Hey! Lets have a snowball fight!" Rina says. "Yeah! That seems like a great idea! Lets pick teams! Takeru, you be with Shinji! I'll be with Rina, and Y/n will be with....... Actually, I'm not sure,"
"Hahaha! It's fine, I'm alright with either side!" You say. "Hey! That's not fair! You always pick teams for us! Why can't I or Y/n choose teams?" Takeru asks. "It's because I'm smarter than you, and I also know who is better than who, so I always pick the right teams for it to play fairly for all of us! Its just not my problem you're bad! Hmph!" Rina says matter-of-factly, closing her eyes and turning her head away from her younger brother, "Now now, lets not fight. Hey, I heard there is going to be a festival tomorrow night! I'll go right now to pick out pretty outfits for you guys, and also buy trinkets for us to wear! I mean, I also need to buy some groceries," You say, trying to resolve the conflict.
"Really?! Could I go with you? I promise to be on my best behavior!" Takeru says.
(just so you know, you are the eldest, then Takeru, then Rina and Sora, who are twins, and then Shinji and Kento. Kento also has this condition which makes him sensitive to extreme cold and extreme heat. He gets sick often.)
"Huh?! I wanna go! You went last time Takeru! Its my turn to go!" Rina argues with her brother back and forth. You cannot keep the peace, until your mother, Yuka, arrives in the scene.
"Y/n, if you're going to go out right now, you should at least take some money with you. Come here, there is also some dust on your face" Yuka says. You oblige, walking towards her with a gentle smile on your face. Yuka wipes the dust from your rosy cheeks with a cloth, staining it a light gray.
~~~Time skip to when y/n is in the village because the author is lazy~~~
You finally make it down the mountain, and look at all the clothes, just waiting for you to come and pick them for the festival. You start looking around, basket in hand with some money in your pocket.
"Hey y/n! Thanks for fixing my door the other day! I really appreciate it!" A man says from his window, "Of course!" You say with a smile. "It wasn't me! I promise! *gasp* Oh y/n! Oh man, perfect timing!" A young man with bruises and blood trickling down his nose exclaims, as he shows you a broken plate, holding it gently with a cloth. "I've been accused of breaking this plate! Help me out, will ya?" He asks.
"Hmm, I'm picking up an aura of a cat from this plate," You say with a nonchalant expression. "See?! See?! I told you it wasn't me!" "So it was a cat...." You start moving again, going to a store and picking out kimonos and yukatas for your siblings. You hum a tune your mother used to sing to you as a child, as it brought back happy memories. "Hey y/n! Could you help me with carrying logs inside of my home?" Another man asks, "Huh? Oh, of course!" You say with a close-eyed smile. You help the man, and then another man asks for help, then another woman. You get slightly overwhelmed, but still help them nonetheless.
~~~Another Time skip~~~
"Kyaa~! My legs! they're so tired! But I still have to make it back to my home, I still need to eat dinner" You say, while clutching your knees, as you feel like they're going to break at any moment.
"Hey y/n, you should come inside. Its getting dark." Hitori says. "Oh? Don't worry! I can sense auras, so I'll make back to my home in no time!" You try to refuse the offer, as you have a feeling in your gut, telling you that something bad is going to happen, and that you need to come back home.
"Just come here, before demons get you." At the word 'demons', you widen your eyes as you wonder what they are. Of course, you heard the myths, but you didn't think that they were real. It sent shivers down your spine.
"O-oh, ok-kay," You respond back, taking soft steps towards Hitori's house. After you enter, you put all the groceries and kimonos/yukatas near a futon that Hitori set up for you. You then sit next to Hitori as he gives you a warm bowl of soup.
"Itadakimasu!" You say with a bright smile, eagerly eating the food as you have been hungry for quite some time.
After you finish the meal, you go to your room. But before you open the door, you turn around with a curious glint in your eyes and ask, "Mr. Hitori, you talked about demons earlier. What are they?"
He looks at you with a hint of sadness and guilt lacing his dark brown orbs, a stark contrast to your curious and bright e/c ones. "Man-eating demons have been around for a long time. They prowl the area once it hits dark. That's why you should always stay indoors and never go out alone at nighttime." He explains. You soak in all this new information, not really believing this myth fully, but still curious to learn more.
'Mr. Hitori has been so lonely ever since his family died. I'll be sure to bring Rina, Sora, Shinji, and Takeru over the next time so he doesn't feel that way anymore' You think to yourself with soft eyes and a gentle smile looking at Hitori.
"These man-eating demons, they wouldn't come inside your home, would they?" You ask.
"Yes, they would come inside your homes. But that is why we have demon slayers to protect us. Now lights out, go to bed." He replies. You enter your room with question swirling around in your head. 'What are the demon slayers? Are the myths true then? If there were demons, why doesn't the government know about it?'
With all these questions in your head, you grow more tired. Your eyelids become more droopy by the second. You finally go to sleep as you close your eyes.

Woo-hoo! First chapter done! I'm honestly so nervous about what you guys think about this chapter. Please tell what to do on improvising, because I need guidance for writing chapters!
