Their call went on for around half an hour. Haruto witnessed the warm smile spreading on Lisa's face and heard his soft-spoken tone.

Was this really his Master?

Could love really change a person this much?

All the hidden gentleness inside him was unleashed!

After he finally comforted his little woman at home and convinced her to go to bed, he missed her dearly and yearned to head back right now, but his circumstances forbade him from doing so.

"Master, it's time to board the plane. It's taking off soon," Haruto spoke quietly when he saw Lisa finished the phone call.

Lisa nodded and walked out of the VIP lounge.

"Master, did something happen on Director Kim's end?" Haruto could not rein in his curiosity and asked when he saw Lisa smiling.

Lisa spoke as he continued forward, "Miyeon returned to City Z. We must complete our tasks here as soon as possible."

"Miyeon... She met Director Kim?" Haruto was stunned as he expressed his worry.

"Your Missus's existence is unique and unmatched. It doesn't matter if they've met each other. They'll have to pay back what they owe, or maybe this is a battle of endurance, so we can take our time and have some fun with them," said Lisa as his eyes darkened.

Haruto nodded. "Yes, Master!"

...

The flight went directly to Los Angeles from New York. It was night time when they arrived at their destination.

The arranged driver was already waiting outside the airport when they arrived.

Lisa walked through the VIP lane and swiftly boarded the car.

This night was still young in the city of Los Angeles as the car drove into the city area. It was pretty crowded on the streets and the night lights were rather charming.

Lisa sat in the back with his laptop on his lap. The blue light from the screen lit up his handsome face.

"Master, we've arranged a hotel to check into. Are we going to the hotel or...?" Haruto turned around and asked Lisa about his plan.

"Go straight to Manor S," replied Lisa without even batting an eye while his fingers were typing swiftly on the keyboard.

Haruto nodded and gave instructions to the driver quietly. Soon, it was quiet again inside the car.

Manor S was the place Hyunbin and Ye-Jin resided in right now. Lisa had purchased it for their sake and let them stay there.

The car passed by several junctions and headed towards the outskirts. They soon arrived outside Manor S.

"Master, we've arrived at Manor S."

Lisa finally switched off his laptop. He put it aside and started to get down from the car.

"Master, let me get them to open the door."

...

Of course, Hyunbin and Ye-Jin had no idea their son-in-law would come so late at night. The two of them were sitting on the sofa while the TV was airing some interesting shows. Hyunbin was sitting right beside Ye-Jin, peeling some sunflower seeds as he watched the TV. Ye-Jin was sitting there quietly with Little Apple on her lap.

Little Apple loved sunflower seeds and was enjoying some of them on Ye-Jin's palm. It gobbled them up in just a moment and wanted more from Ye-Jin who smiled. "Alright, I can't see. Ask Grandpa to peel some for you. You shouldn't eat too much of these you know. It's heaty."

"You really are like your mother. She likes to snack a lot too. There was once when she was little she ate a lot of heaty snacks and got a high fever late at night! Oh my... Stop! You're scratching me. Hmm, you smell nice. Who bathed you today?"

Ye-Jin was happy playing with Little Apple. Ever since they had it, it felt like they both had another child. They used to just go back to their room at night, but now they would spend time together in the living room after dinner, playing with Little Apple.

"Of course, it was me, right, Little Apple?"

Hyunbin put some peeled sunflower seeds onto Ye-Jin's palm as he patted Little Apple's head and looked at Ye-Jin. "Let me cook you some supper. You didn't eat much during dinner, did you?"

Ye-Jin gave it some thought before nodding. "Let's have some dumplings. They can be done pretty quickly..."

Before Ye-Jin could finish her sentence, they heard the sound of footsteps outside the door, and the two of them turned their heads around.

"Lisa? Why are you here?" Hyunbin was surprised to see Lisa. He was evidently caught off guard.

"Father, Mother."

Lisa walked towards the sofa as Hyunbin and Ye-Jin both stood up.

Ye-Jin had a smile on her face as she asked, "Lisa? Lisa is here?"

Lisa stopped before the two of them and said humbly, "Mmm, I just so happen to be nearby here for work, so I came over to take a look at you both. Jennie has been worried, so I came here right after I touched down."

"You rushed over here without having dinner, didn't you? Hyunbin, make something to eat for him. I'm a little hungry as well. Lisa, have a seat and let's chat," Ye-Jin said kindly.

Hyunbin nodded. "Alright, I was just about to make some food for your mother as well. What would you like to eat?"

"I don't mind anything. Ask the servants to prepare it. Please sit, Mother." Lisa smiled and helped Ye-Jin to sit down.

"I'm fine. Let me do it. Just sit there and wait for a while. I'll get someone to bring you some warm water to wash your hands."

The quiet manor started to get lively while Haruto and the others moved all the luggage in before helping Hyunbin. In the meantime, Ye-Jin had Lisa tell her about Jennie and Yong Gun. She had been here for nearly half a year now and she missed them dearly.
