Auria
"Hahaha!
I never agreed naman na I would meet him sa quad. Sinong umasa? Edi siya!" katwiran ko.
It took a while bago maka-recover si Amelie sa pagtawa. Her laughter sounds like a broken record of a car engine failing to start.
If he was courting Auria, then he should have been the one inviting her, talking to her, hindi 'yung mga kaibigan niya ang gagawa no'n. Courtship is chivalry. If he wanted to give her something, he should do it himself, gano'n," he explained very well, making me nod in agreement.
I ranted.
Aba! Pinagtutulungan ako ng dalawang 'to ah!
"You really don't want to get in a relationship?" Rafael suddenly asked.
I scrunched my nose, slightly grimacing over the thought that I would be in a relationship one day.
"Ewan ko. I'm not really thinking of it right now," I responded nonchalantly.
My thoughts were slowly starting to float away, leaving me staring out into the open, recalling everything that happened that led me to this point where being in a relationship scares me so bad.
It's never the 'getting dumped' or 'getting hurt' part. It's more of--getting used to someone's presence for a long time, and one day, you'd wake up without them, as if you were stripped away from the chance of spending more of your life with them.
It happened with my Dad, it happened with my Mom, and it happened to me. I don't need to know how it feels like, again.
"Teka, CR nga lang ako," Amelie spoke, causing me to snap out of my deep contemplation.
After she left, I felt Rafael's hand on my arm. "You okay?" he asked.
I was a bit confused thinking what prompted him to ask that. "Yeah, why?"
"Medyo natulala ka kasi. Something wrong?"
I held his hand that was resting on my arm as I flashed a smile to let him know that I'm okay. "I'm fine, don't worry. Ikaw nga ang dapat kong tatanungin kanina. Ayaw mo bang magka-relationship? You know, I've seen girls staring at you when we pass by the hallways ha, you should try your luck," I informed him.
He's very good looking kaya! I'm sure he can get whoever he wants. Charming pa!
"I don't like them," he said, causing me to sneer in disbelief.
"Naks! Ano bang like mo sa girls?"
His hand slid from my forearm, down to my palm, hitching my breath for a moment.
