..."Go to your room," the Doctor spoke sternly.
The patients all stopped.
"Go to your room. I mean it. I'm very, very angry with you. I am very, very cross. Go to your room!"
The patients all hang their heads in shame and shuffle slowly back to their beds—or chair in Constantine's case. The Doctor spun around, "I'm really glad that worked. Those would have been terrible last words."
"That was hot," Adalyn said bluntly getting a laugh out of Rose and a blushing Doctor while Jack looked amused.
The Doctor cleared his throat, "Now, Jack, how was that con supposed to work?"
"Simple enough, really. Find some harmless piece of space junk, let the nearest Time agent track it back to Earth, convince him it's valuable, name a price. When he's put fifty percent up front, oops! A German bomb falls on it, destroys it forever. He never gets to see what he's paid for, never knows he's been had. I buy him a drink with his own money, and we discuss dumb luck. The perfect self-cleaning con," he explained then swung his head to Adalyn, "I don't feel guilty and I didn't kill anyone."
"You feel vengeful and want justice on something involving the Time Agents," Adalyn said with a shrug. "Your need for revenge isn't targeted towards my friend or my mate so you're safe especially since you're helping," she said.
"And honestly I had thought it was empty," Jack repeated. The other three nodded, believing he was telling the truth.
"We're going upstairs," the Doctor suddenly said.
"Why?" Adalyn asked.
He took one of her hands and walked off with the other two following, "See if we can figure out more about this virus."
A siren sounded outside. "What's that?" Rose asked.
"We're in the middle of World War 2 Rose. What do you think it is?" Adalyn said, getting a little snappy.
"The all clear," Jack said with certainty.
"I wish," the Doctor muttered. "And Adalyn gets snappy when she's around something that confuses her. Notice the lack of Riders? She told me they wouldn't come near because they didn't know how to take it."
He sped up the stairs with Adalyn quickly following as their hands were attached.
"Doctor?" Rose called up the stairs.
"Adalyn?" Jack called.
The two peaked their heads over the railing of the second floor. "Have you got a blaster?" the Doctor asked Jack.
"Sure!" Jack smiled and the two ran out to join them outside a metal door.
"This is where the boy, Jamie, was taken," the Doctor explained.
"What's wrong with your sonic screwdriver?" Rose whispered.
"Oh, he's just testing him," Adalyn whispered back.
Jack moved in front of them with his blaster.
"I am not," the Doctor whispered. Adalyn raised an eyebrow. "I am," he corrected.
Jack shot at the door and caused a square shaped hole to appear in the door.
"Sonic blaster, 51st century. Weapon Factories of Villengard?" the Doctor questioned.
