Walking in the conference room, I see the three boards filled with photos and names of the victims, and underneath each one is the corresponding photo and name of the client that hired the Black Widow. And I notice new notes besides each one.
"Good morning everyone. I'm sorry for my absence last night. I wasn't feeling well" I state as I enter the room
"It's ok. I stayed in the unit with the fire department a couple of hours after you left and found a phone. It was pretty much destroyed but we were able to get the SIM card out. Garcia is processing it as we speak" Morgan informs me
"Prentiss and I finished our calls to all the Widow's clients" Dave says next, "Turns out Guller wasn't the only creep in our list..." he points at the notes of the board.
Sexual assault. Child abuse. Serial rape. Spousal abuse.
Every single one of them. Except the first four murders of which we don't have clients to match to. Three in Louisiana, one in New York.
"Guys..." Reid enters the room carrying another file, "We said the first four victims could be her personal targets and possibly the source of her rage. So, I went back and looked for a person that overlaps in all four of their lives" he explains.
"Well, did you find anyone?" JJ asks
"Sofia Wade, the very first victims' sister" he says and my heart sinks. "Mother deceased at birth, father an ex-addict and currently diagnosed with dementia..."
"She killed them. She killed them all. And she's going to come for me" he told me when I interviewed him.
"Their house was visited by police often due to noise complains and reports of drug abuse. Unlike her brother, Sofia was always described as a very smart and well-behaved girl by her teachers which is confirmed by the fact she was able to skip 4th grade. Later on, she got a full ride scholarship in NYC. She attended NYC at the same time as our the 4th victim. Reports say she started skipping classes 4 months in, around the time her brother and his two friends were murdered. A couple months later, the 4th victim was killed and she dropped out only a few days later".
"I worked my ass off to get that scholarship. But then a personal issue cut the dream short. And I didn't want to be there anymore" she told me at our first interview.
"The triggering event was most likely an assault suffered by the unsub herself, she might feel that she was denied the justice that she deserved. So she's appointed herself judge, jury, and executioner, killing surrogates for her own attacker" I wrote in the profile.
"No" I say, and try to swallow the lump in my throat. "No. I talked with Ms. Wade after the Louisiana murder 3 months ago".
Garcia enters the room before anyone can ask me more questions. "From the SIM card, I was able to find messages dating 3 years ago talking about orders, money, and packages. The number was unknown, but I did what I do and I made the number known... It traces back to a George Ferris, owner of a gun store in Maryland that also sells the exact kind of marine combat knife used in he murders" she informs us as she shows us his file.
"Dave and JJ, bring George Ferris in for questioning" I order. "Garcia, a moment..." I ask
"Sure" she follows me outside the conference room.
"I need you to find me the name of the doctor that diagnosed Mr. Wade -the first victim's father- with dementia 8 years ago, and who's paying for him to stay in the care home he's at"
"Ok. I'll get to it and send the names to your selfphone"
"Thanks".
"I love you, you are the best person I've ever met. And, no matter what happens, I want you to remember that" she told me last night.
No. No, all this is just circumstantial.
'Dr. Michael Colman diagnosed. Sofia Wade is paying, no weird transactions' Garcia texts me.
Exiting from my chat with Garcia, Sofia's name is right underneath.

They bring the George Ferris in and I tell Dave to go talk to him. Ferris states that he is not aware of the murders and that he just fulfilled some orders. Apparently, he has a number of questionable clients that want to remain anonymous so he wasn't surprised when we asked him about his burner phones.
He gives us the PO box he sends the murder weapons to every time. It is registered to a Katie Goldsworth, who died 3 years ago. Digging a little further, we find that Katie Goldsworth was on a flight to Denver the day of Jonathan M. Guller's murder.
Sofia couldn't be in Denver that night, she had clients. She send me a photo of her, and then photos of the wedding she was working at. Should I call Serena to confirm her story?
No. God, no. I am not going to start doubting her now. This cannot be Sofia...
Out of curiosity, I take Sofia's photos from the files and I go in the interrogation room. "Do you recognize the woman in the photo?" I ask.
My heart is racing and my legs are ready to give out as he takes a closer look at the picture.
"No, I don't know her".
