You are Kagami's girlfriend. Well, you could argue basketball is his girlfriend. Since it's clearly more important than you.

5 weeks. That's how long it's been since you've had a decent conversation, truly it's getting annoying, it's tiring, staring up at the stars at night with no one to share their light with.
Sometimes you wonder if he truly loves toyz but you know he does... It's just... He's busy right?

Today was another match, you had gone to watch as per usual, and they won. Nothing too out of the blue, they had been on a roll lately.
"Kagami! You did so well out there today" you said loosely as you walked beside him. In truth you didn't really get what he was doing on the court. But since everyone was cheering it was probably something good.
No reply.

"Are you tired? You can take a nap when we get home then we could go out in the roof and watch the sta-"

"No thanks, I think I'm going to have something to eat then go to bed" kagami interrupted.

"Oh... Okay, no worries, what do you want? I can make something-"

"Don't worry I'll do it" he said. You're sure he meant well. But it stung all the same, how comes he spends all his time with his friends at serin then have no time to spend for you? Seriously?

This is so unfair.

Another night of staring at the stars by yourself. You count them, you could have taken the business man's job (the little prince).
Eventually you go back inside, you go to bed, next to kagami, it's the only time you actually spend with him nowadays... But he's out like a light. There's no profound moments no sparks and no stars.

You reach out to trace his face.. so much for love right?.

The next day was a blur, the same routine, week in week out.

Until you couldn't take it anymore.

"Kagami. I think we should take a break" y/n said softly, kagami had taken her out, he wanted to apologise for his negligence...n
"I need a break from all this" she repeats.

And suddenly the ring in his pocket feels heavy.
