(Hanji x levi) Heck of a Story to Tell

Commander Squad Levi!

A/N: Well probably the last chapter scarred all of you because most people I know doesn't like Taylor Swift. But I like her, oh well. Hopefully this doesn't drive away readers... Oh no. But I'm actually planning to do something like that again, so now you are warned.

His breathing was still the same and steady, and my heart sinks. He should have been awake by now. The dream last night was definitely the weirdest dream ever. But special. The raspberries were still good which was a relief.

Twigs snapped from a far distance that was clear and seemed amplified. Fear showed itself by my trembling hands. It has to be a Titan. I grabbed my 3D maneuvering gear that leaned against a tree. When the hook flew across the air to a tree, I wasn't hauled up as someone usually would. What? What's wrong with my- my hand grabbed the gas tank, and it was empty.

When my head shoots up, a 15 meter Titan stared at the two of us. Without thinking, I dashed over to Levi's maneuvering gear. Struggling to put on his maneuvering gear, the gigantic-man-eating monster dashed over to Levi, knowing he is the most vulnerable. The last strap was secure, but Levi's body was held onto the Titan's hand.

"Hey!" I yelled. The two swords slashed the nape of the neck smoothly. Immediately after splitting the monster's weak spot, Levi was falling. Without a second thought of the Titan falling on top of me, I swing across the air to catch him. He was interestingly heavy for some reason, but I can handle it.

The body melted into steam, and there was no way I could go through something like that again. We went to a new hideout in the forest again. That should have scared you enough that you should wake up. I went to look for more berries, and use the same strategy again. Leaving Levi by himself was dangerous after that happened, and I didn't expect for that to happen.

Birds were eating blueberries today, and it was great! Who doesn't love blueberries? The marks on the trees were still there to lead to the pond.

As I walk back excited for the new berries, and a miracle occurred.

"Commander squad Levi!!!"

Levi's POV~
How was I not aware of my surroundings? Letting the Titan hit me like that would surely ruin my name. I turn my head around to see where I was, and I was apparently still in the forest. With thoughts of going back to headquarters, my 3D maneuvering gear was gone.

In a distance to my right had leaves crunching. It could just be some animal. But instead of a harmless animal, it was my nightmare.

"Commander squad Levi!!!" Dammit. Shit glasses is with me. This has to be a dream. Hanji comes sprinting towards me, and her arms suffocate me. Keeping an expressionless face was one of my specialties besides killing Titans. But how is she here with me? Alone. Together.

"Levi! I'm so glad you're awake now! I've got this huge story to tell you! When you were knocked out by the Titan on our expedition-" I was always prepared for when her mouth blabbers useless words. One way to stop her was to cover her mouth with full force. Her face was shocked, and it wasn't like I've never done that to her before.

"I don't want to hear anything from your nonstop moving mouth. Let's just get back to headquarters and proceed to our normal lives." Her eyebrows lowered in sign of slight disappointment. What would be so exciting to tell me all the sudden?

She willingly agrees quietly which was weird. She's not squealing or jumping around like she usually does.

Hanji's POV~

I couldn't tell Levi my story; that technically, we've been through. I agree to walk back to headquarters with him quietly. My cape still had the blueberries in them. He might like them.

"Commander. Would you like any blueberries I've found? I picked them myself." I hold the bunch of berries out to him. He gives me a strange look at the berries. I know Levi though. He's always the perfectly-clean type of person. "They're clean. I washed them at a fresh water pond. I've eaten them myself too. So they're safe." I've never felt so shy around Levi before. I used to be the crazy person to him.

He hesitates to take one from the green cape. When he pops a berry into his mouth, he grabbed handfuls into his mouth. Score! His mouth presses into a small smile that couldn't be noticed unless you pay close attention.

Little drops of water landed on our heads. We both look up at the same time, and back at each other.

"I guess we should wait to go back to headquarters then right? Maybe under a tree?" Levi smiles, more noticeable. I blush with my mouth opened in excitement.

"Yes Heichou!" (A/N: sorry if I spelled that wrong.) We search for a tree to give us a little roof over us. Searching high and low, a young and small tree was in the center of an open field. We sprinted to the tree with the water pouring down on us.

Usually Levi tries to stay away from me when we're alone, but he stays still.

"Thanks for staying with me." Levi starts.

"It's no problem. No one came after you, so I thought that I should have gone." He turns his head to look at me, face to face, and it was a new feeling. I knew that Levi didn't really like me, or wants to listen to what I had to say.

"You know that I never loved Petra right?" My eyes widen in surprise by what came out of his mouth. I knew that there were rumors about Petra and him being together, but I didn't know how they felt about each other. The anxiety of thinking about Levi wanting to be with Petra was gone from my mind.

"But I thought that you did. People said-" his hand grabs the back of my hair which interrupts my sentence. His stare was hard and serious.

"I told you already. I don't." His voice was cold and harsh. It sort of scared me a little. I've seen Levi like this to newcomers, but not like this.

"Levi... You're scarin-" I tried to tell him how much he freighted me, but the most wonderful thing happened.

A/N: *gasps* what did Levi do to Hanji?! Wait until next chapter! I know. I bet you all know what happens next. It's cheesy once again, but that's me. Being a loner and all. So I'm going to update again! The story is still not over.
