(A/N: so this is my next chapter! But it's still not over yet! So comment and vote please!
Warning: there might be a little bit of abuse and very vague details of rape in this chapter, so if it makes you uncomfortable, then you can skip it. It's not going to be too detailed anyways. OMG please don't get me wrong. I don't support it either. I'm just making the story run. And NO reports please!)
Hanji's POV~
As we stood at the front gate, someone opened the doors for us to enter. Levi never made eye contact with me as we walked in.
"Hanji! Levi! You're back!" Petra runs up to us excitedly. Auruo, Gunter, and Erd came as well to greet us back. Countless people ask us how we made it through the forest all by ourselves with the Titans, an how we did it. Levi didn't look like he was interested one bit. Not like he always was anyways, but now I know what he's thinking about.
"Do you need anything Levi? I can get you a cup of water. Oh! Or what about-" Levi walked right past Petra when she kept blabbering useless words out of her mouth. But it didn't stop her from continuously talking and offering things to him. Instead, she followed him all the way inside the old castle.
I still stood by myself, and watched the crowd that used to surround me disappear to continue their duties. Still in the same spot, one person caught my eye. He was still standing there from a far away distance, and it was Erwin.
"Hanji. You're still as beautiful as ever. Let's get you cleaned up." We both walk over to his office, which was connected to his, or as he would say our bedroom. Being the captain of this whole corps, you basically have your own... Everything. An ordinary member of the Survey Corps would have to share a room with multiple showers in a huge room. But of course there was a male and female room.
I step into the shower, and the warm water turned on. I usually never take showers because of how busy I was all the time. Chasing after theories about titans, experiments, expeditions, and countless other events.
But when I got married to Erwin, everything changed. He said that if I wanted to stay with him in the same room, I would have to calm down with my experiments and take "proper" care of myself. So then I got my own room, had to share showers with others, but it wasn't a big deal though. All members here had to go through this at least once.
I dried my hair and looked at myself in the mirror. I wonder what Levi's doing now... If he were right next to me. I sighed in sadness. I can't blame him for not wanting to talk to me anymore. I guess I should just move on maybe.
A knock on the door quickly snapped me out of my thoughts.
"You okay there Hanji?" Erwin asks through the door. I didn't realize how long I was actually in here, so I quickly put on my clothes frantically.
"Yes! Um, I just need to put on my..." The confusing belts that strapped onto your legs were always frustrating. With trembling fingers to put on the belts, Erwin comes in with a straight face. He didn't seem angry because of how long I was in here, which was a relief.
"Those belts are confusing aren't they?" His lips form into a small smile as he kneels down to help with the belts. My heart beats faster whenever he touched me, and dizziness came into my head. "So how did you survive all by yourself in the forest? I was worried when you didn't come back after our expedition was over." He still looked down on my legs.
"U-um... Well it wasn't too hard... If you have your maneuvering gear." My words were shaky, and he didn't look like he cared. Was he expecting me to sound like this?
"Oh really? And how did you find Levi?" His icy blue eyes glare at me intensely, but tries to disguise them as a caring look. (A/N: I don't know if this is correct, but I don't know how else to put it. Ha! Lol, I suck at language arts.) Time seemed like it stopped when he asked that.
