(Hanji x levi) Heck of a Story to Tell

Chapter 3: Missing

Levi's POV:

At least she's good at keeping up with me and the squad. I did handpick them myself of course.

"Commander squad Levi! There's a Titan behind!" Petra swerved around an adjacent tree with Auruo. But the two had another friend with them. Hanji.

"Strange." I thought deeply into. "She usually loves Titans."

Hanji's POV~

"I don't want to do this to you poor titan. Please forgive me. This is the old me, and I don't want to kill you." At first I was with Levi and the others with their expedition, but since I started to change my ways with these monsters, I've actually started to get interested in them. My 3D maneuvering gear shoots out the sharp hook to a tree to assist me with my kill. The blades make a swift movement, cutting the nape of it's neck.

"I'm sorry." I whisper. Watching the Titan fall to the ground with steam evolving by the second made me want to sob. But I have to impress Levi! So snap out of it!

"Come on shit glasses! Catch up!" Levi shouts over his shoulder. Eventually I catch up with the group until another Titan came out of nowhere.

"Commander squad Levi! There's a-"

Levi's POV~

I turn my head to the right for a split second. But then everything turned black in my eyes.

Hanji's POV~

His body was flying to the side uncontrollably as Auruo and Petra quickly sliced the Titan's nape.

"LEVI!" I screamed in the top of my lungs. I shifted my maneuvering gear to the ground. Desperately trying to find Levi, Petra calls for me to come back.

"Hanji! We have to continue! Levi can catch up with us! Don't worry about him!" Petra didn't love Levi. She never did. These crazy rumors the Scout Regiment makes about her and Levi. How could someone just abandon a team member? Now look at who is in love with Levi. Come on Petra. You have to do better than that for Levi to fall for you.

(A/N: I know that Petra isn't really like that. I'm just trying to keep the story going.)

With desperate tears flowing down my cheeks to find Levi, he was no where to be seen. My heart beats faster than I ever had before. "Why do I have these crazy feelings for Levi? I mean, I love him, but why am I so desperate?" Anxiety builds up to make me have to rest and calm down. My hand puts itself over my uncontrollably beating heart.

I soothe myself trying to think about another way to find Levi before I run out of gas for my maneuvering gear. "Maybe I should walk around to find any traces of him". Birds and colorful bugs hum their own unique song to communicate to their family members around. Trees provide homes for the little creatures. At least they don't have to worry about Titans.

My thirty minute walk was pointless, and the sun was setting. This would make me more vulnerable in the dark. "Oh Levi! Why are you so hard to find you stub." He was actually the smallest person in the whole entire regiment. Even smaller than Petra maybe. Stop thinking about her! She doesn't do any good to you.

My stomach rumbles for food since I haven't eaten anything since... Breakfast. Actually, I didn't have anything because I prepared myself to jump at Levi in my room. The sky starts to melt from pink to a midnight blue color. After studying about Titans for a good couple of years, I forgot about hunting for my own food if I were lost in a forest. Like now.

The sky now turns to complete darkness, and I'm left with myself cold in the dark. I knew that when you're in a forest at night, you had to set a fire to keep warm at least. Good thing that I at lest learned how to make a fire. The cafeteria's food was disgusting when I first joined the Scout Regiment, so I had to learn how myself.

I got broken twigs from the ground and a small log to put friction on with another twig. There was a trick I learned from multiple experiences to start a fire like this. My hands go down at an angle to keep my grip and make the spinning much faster. A little burst of flame slowly evolved to an average size of a proper camp fire. My knees touch my chest to turn myself into a ball. "Please Levi. Come back to me." I whispered and cried myself to sleep.

A/N: Whew! Wow that took a lot of thinking. Sorry it took me forever for updating. I knew that not a lot of people are reading or voting for this story, so I didn't really have the commitment to keep going. But I'll try again to update. I'm sort of having to make the characters not really be in "character". I know. That makes me a terrible writer, but that's the only way to keep the story going though for me. And I know that Petra isn't a cruel and evil person. Just to let you know. So until I update again!
