A/N: so who liked my life lesson about taking AP and honors classes? Lol that has nothing to do with this story. And thanks for people voting for my last chapter! I was like WHOA when I saw all these people voting for it. So thank you MacklePackle, That_Crazy_Scientist, Daniela TeAmo00, and Zahraalawd! And everyone else! Sorry I can't list all of you lovely readers. But thank you!
Levi's POV~
Hopefully Petra convinced Erwin about where Hanji is. I would have done it myself, but it would seem a little awkward since I never talked to her. Until the forest incident of course. As I write my next report, a knock on my door came. It must be Petra.
As I open the door slowly, Petra's face wasn't her cheery self.
"I'm sorry Corporal. I couldn't achieve your goal to where Hanji is. Erwin only said that he'll tell Hanji himself, and wouldn't reveal where she is. I'm sorry." Her voice was quiet and sorrowful. Did she care this much about impressing me? There are such things as clues.
"Just tell me how he reacted and looked at you. What were your surroundings? What was unusual and not?" I asked lifting up her chin. There was absolutely no affection of love towards this girl. She's engaged already! I did have to show that I did care for her a little at the same time as well too. Or then I'd be seen as a heartless person that everyone assumes.
Petra answers my questions for about five minutes, and it was actually strange.
"I've never seen the Commander mad before! I mean, not like yelling at me or anything, but he did sorta got mad easily. I don't know why he was so sensitive though." She still had the same expression when she first walked into my door, and it was quite upsetting. Not very annoying.
"Nothing looked different when you were in his office either?" She shook her head down. She really was committed to this whole thing, and I really do respect that. "Thank you." I say calmly. With a little guilt building inside of me, I pulled her into a hug. Her eyes widen in shock, and her breathing became choppy.
"Don't freak out just because I'm hugging you. You know that you're supposed to marry Auruo." I say blankly. She looks up into my eyes that had no emotion.
"But he always tries to imitate you. It's annoying!" She whines and buries her face into my chest, but her effort of trying to attract me didn't work one bit. I release her from my arms to look into her eyes with a straight face.
"Petra. Why do you think he always tries to act like me?" There was no response. She just doesn't get it does she? "I want you to take a long and hard thought about this." I push her out of my room. She still had that dumb clueless fact, and it was really idiotic. I closed the door to think.
She didn't notice anything different around her. He was unusually sensitive, and tried to make Petra leave as soon as he could while he's a calm person. Did she really look hard enough to see anything different? Well she said that she didn't, and I didn't give her exact instructions to look around about her surroundings.
Maybe I'm just over thinking this. She might be cooped up in her office as usual.
The answer is so simple. Sometimes she's in her room or her office all day or a couple days straight. As I knocked on her office door, there wasn't an answer.
Hanji's POV~
I've recently been trying to practice trying to walk on my own. It wasn't like I completely forgot how to walk on my two feet. It was that stinging pain that went through my whole body with each step I take. To make the unbearable feeling not hurt as much, I tried various different experiments. But when you experiment on something, you'll learn something new. For example, if you try to walk on the side of your feet, it not only makes you look weird, but it actually adds more pain and suffering.
