"Don't come over here glowing and smiling like we friends." Torin spoke to Azul and Jazmyn making them laugh. He smiled as he rose to his feet. "If I didnt know any better I would think yall was wearing the same glow."
Jazmyn looked over to Azul. "You're pregnant?" She asked with a smile. Azul shrugged lazily.
"My period is two weeks late but I haven't told my husband that."
"Yayyyyy we going have babies togetherrrrr." Jazmyn smiled. "Awww Azul."
"Look at yall hoes." Torin shook his head. "I love seeing yall happy like this." The best friends shared a look that made him place his hands together. "What's wrong?"
"We can't say here." Azul spoke before Jazmyn could. She looked to her and nodded understanding. Naeem would have a fit if he found out they told Torin about what was going on. Especially in the open.
"Naeem can't beat me." Torin joked making them look at him. "Yes I already know." He smiled. "Why do you think we're celebrating? Finally from behind the desk and doing my own thing."
"Oh I'm so happy for you Torin!" Jazmyn smiled.
"Are you sure you can handle this?" Azul asked. She didn't want to rain on his parade but this was serious. Jazmyn had the same concern. She looked to her friend.
"I got everything where I want it to be at for now. I can't promise this will go smoothly. That's never the case. But we have a few defenses for their offensive plays." He shrugged. "I'm ready."
They both nodded. "We know you got this." Azul reassured him. "I just don't want things falling on you that shouldn't."
"I'm family." He shrugged. "Probably should have mentioned that before huh?" He teased making them both frown.
"That's how Vincent knew my damn schedule." Jazmyn frowned.
"Sorry but when bro wants something he gets it." Torin shrugged. "Plus I left that behind when I was 18. I love my family but we play different sides until someone is against all of us. Then it becomes something else."
"What was it like growing up with your family? Was it hard to walk away from them?" Jazmyn asked as she grabbed a piece of bread with butter.
"The same way it is for me now." He shrugged. "Plus I don't know not one man who can walk away from Gloria. No matter what team you bat for. She's a gem." He smiled. "Akbar he doesn't approve of my lifestyle. But he still treats me like a son."
"I talk to Sloane every day. She keeps me updated on my brothers. Their women in their lives." He smiled at the two women. "OG does as well. She makes sure I'm good. If I need them they would come no questions asked. But I wanted something different for myself."
"When's the last time you seen Naeem?"
"It's been a while. After I left the house, I found our mother."
