Kendra tapped a pen against her desk. She read over the latest issue of her magazine with a smile. She had made something beautiful with the ugly of WM magazine. Renaming it as Hart Mag, was the first change to come.

As she realized people wasn't picking it up. She decided to change tactics. She didn't have to follow Will's layouts anymore. She could throw whatever she wanted together. Hart Magazine was her baby.

She had added an advice column where people could send in random letters. They didn't have to ask for just relationship advice either. There was a career section, that was one of Kendra's favorites.

She loved to believe that the younger version of herself was out there somewhere trying to find her place in life. Kendra made sure that there was a hiring ad in the middle of that page for her company.

If she could, she would change someone's life. Of course there was interviews of celebrities. So far she hadn't gotten anyone big time yet. But she was working on it. For now the page of Azul, the rising fashion designer did just fine for her.

Kendra couldn't wait to do a spread on her sister. Jazmyn the boss ass lawyer. She smiled at the thought. Kendra was still trying to figure out where Nani would fit in the magazine. She was a teacher, but her friend hadn't been working lately.

"Nani the muse." She spoke. Kendra quickly grabbed her pen and begin to write that down on a sticky note. It would work just fine. Possibly even get her best friend floating in a new career path. Kendra always thought she could model.

The sound of her door moving caught her attention. She looked at the man who was standing in it. "Did I interrupt something?" She shook her head before rising to her feet.

"No, I'm just scanning my brain to be sure that I didn't forget about a meeting I had scheduled." She laughed. "Sorry, my assistant."

"Went for her lunch break." Marquis spoke as he held up a bag. "I figured you was probably hungry seeing as though I scheduled this during your lunch."

Kendra smiled. "Well that's appreciated as long as you didn't get me a salad." She joked and he smirked.

"My mother would probably kill me if I offered a woman a salad for any meal of the day." He joked making her laugh.

"She must be one hell of a cook."

"Amongst other things." He shrugged. "So where should we do this?"

Kendra bit her bottom lip. "We can sit in that corner." She pointed. "Please excuse my ignorance. But why are we meeting?"

"I'm into photography."

She nodded. "Ohh shit. Sorry. That is right. You're here for the photography interview." Kendra nodded. "Wow I'm so unprepared. Truly I apologize."

"Sit down and eat with me to make it up to me." He touched the couch. Kendra looked him over and frowned for a second but fixed her face. She was the one unprepared. His teasing, or flirting was harmless.
