*Sydney's POV*
"What?" I asked, dumbfounded. Every bone in my body had gone completely numb as I stood there, just staring at Alyssa. "You can't be serious."
She smiled wickedly as she took in my reaction.
"Ah, but I can. It's my right."
"Bitch." Jesse muttered. I couldn't help but agree with him.
I knew I could have tried apologizing, but I wasn't about to dare let myself stoop that low to her. I straightened from my shocked composure, and stared her straight in the eye.
"Fine, I'll be out by tonight." I said. "Good luck dealing with my campers. They're a handful."

"It's not as if you were doing that good of a job with them anyways." She sneered.
That did it. I was already kicked out of the camp anyways, so I launched myself at her again, fists out first and aimed for her face.
I managed to get a few good hits in before Jesse managed to drag me off of her again. He started pulling me back and towards my cabin. All the while, many profanities were flowing from my mouth.
"Let me go." I muttered as he continued to pull me away.
"No."
"That stupid freaking-"
"You've already been kicked out Syd. Don't add prison time to it too."
"Hey, if you survived it, I can too."
He gave me a glare, but I knew he was fighting back a smile when I saw his lip twitch. Still, he remained serious.
"Either way, I'm not letting you get jail time on your record."
"You're not the boss of me." I grumbled.
We were at my cabin, and he turned all of a sudden and pulled me close to him, his arms going around my waist. "We're gonna work this out. Okay?"
I let my hands rest on his chest, and all of a sudden it was sinking in. I got kicked out. What was I supposed to do now?
"I know we will. We've been through worse, right?"
He kissed me lightly. "Exactly. Now go pack and I'll meet you in the mess hall in an hour, okay?"
"You got it." I said, sighing as I walked up the stairs.

My girls were in the cabin, and for once no one was ripping out someone else's hair or screaming at someone. It was pretty peaceful as they all rested on their bunks, talking a little and doing their own thing. It was kind of nice.
Now it was my turn to break that bliss.
"Guys we have to talk."
They all looked up at me. I actually felt like crying. They were weird freaks, but they were getting better. Courtney hadn't set anything on fire while being here. Elease hadn't chewed and spit since the second week being here. And Stephanie has, for the most part, stayed away from alcohol. And as far as Madison... well at least she was with someone her age. That's kind of all you can ask of someone who slept with their teacher.
I was really going to miss them. What would they do when I left? Not to sound full of myself, but yeah, I'd helped them get to where they were now. I don't want them to go back to that...
"I got kicked out of the camp." I said, ripping the bandaid off quickly.

They were all quiet. None of them said anything and I wondered briefly if they actually cared about me at all. Then Courtney spoke.
"Wow... some role model you are." She said, looking back down at her phone. But there was something wrong with her tone. There wasn't enough sarcasm in it, and she didn't look mean and hateful, or have a smirk on her face either.
"Court??" I asked, trying to look at her face.
She gave a little laugh. "How are we supposed to learn from someone who can't even stay in the camp themselves as a grown adult?" her façade broke a bit. But still, she tried to keep it up. "What, you get caught with your boy toys?"
"Courtney, shut up." Stephanie said, rolling her eyes.
"You're leaving?" Elease asked, chewing on her thumb.

"I'm gonna get this fixed. I promise you guys, I'm not leaving for good. I won't do that to y'all."
Courtney scoffed. Or tried to. "What makes you think we care?"
"Drop the act Courtney." Madison said. "And get over here so we can all hug her properly. And listen to what happened. Why are you leaving?" she asked me.
I felt like I was the camper now, and not them. "I kind of attacked Alyssa."
"You go girl!" Stephanie exclaimed, clapping. "That bitch deserves it."
"There's something wrong with her anyways. I'm glad you did. Well kind of." Madison said, smiling a little at me.
"I'll be back. There's still work to do. We've got a camp games to win."

"So... you'll be back?" Courtney asked.
"I thought you didn't care." I mocked.
"Fuck off." She muttered.
I laughed. "Yes, I'll be back. That bitch can't take me down that easily."
