All around the camp, the things on this list are hidden. The first team to find all the things on their list wins! But be warned, not all the things are where they would seem to be.

A book about plantsA recipe for poison ivy antidoteOld yellow rain bootsA Camp Pinewood T-shirtA clay model of a catA pink miniature birdhouseA green and blue beach towelGood luck!

I passed out copies of the list. We all got in our pairs.
"Okay guys. Do your best, alright? Even if we don't win this, I'll still be proud of you." I told them. Then Jesse piped in.
"Just kidding, we'll hate you guys forever." He joked. I elbowed him.
"Don't listen to him. We'll hate on him. Now, go and good luck!"

Jesse and I went on our way, reviewing the list as we did. I was searching all around, and we fell into a comfortable silence. It was nice, not feeling that urge to fill the silence. At least it was nice until he suddenly grabbed my arm and dragged me into a bush, screaming at me all of a sudden.
"SYDNEY!"
"OW!" I yelled back, wondering what was wrong with him, until he produced a small clay cat from the bush. "Heyyy, look at that. That wasn't so hard to find. Good eye babe." I gave him a small kiss.
"Ooh, one kiss for each thing I find?"
"No, that'll just distract you. You'll be thinking too much about my kisses." I smirked at him and walked off.
"I'll be thinking about them either way!" He protested.
I lightly smacked the back of his head. "Focus mister."
"Fine, but you owe me later." He muttered. I rolled my eyes but didn't respond, glancing around for more items. We were by Cabin 13. Hmmm.
"Let's go in here." I said, pulling him towards the cabin.
"That's not productive." He said, smiling suggestively.
"Let's go in here to search for items." I elaborated. I opened the door, and flipped the light on. We searched all over the bedroom area, when something occurred to me.
"We have to go in there." I told him, pointing to the bathroom door.
We hadn't gone in there in a while. We only went in there that one time, when we were campers, when we were almost caught by camp advisors. I could feel the same feeling of a panic attack coming on at the thought of going in there again.
Jesse rested his hand on the small of my back. "Hey, you can do it. We'll be okay." He encouraged.
I nodded and took a deep breath, preparing myself to open the door. I turned the knob and stepped inside. It looked exactly the same. The tub had the same blood like rust color to it on the inside. But this time, it wasn't so bad.
Not that I enjoyed being in there any more than I had last time. Don't get me wrong, it was still creepy.
Jesse nudged me, making me look up from the tub and at him. He pointed to the wall above the tub. There, fairly high up, hung a small bird house.
Not even Jesse could reach it.
"We gotta climb in love." He said. I knew he was right. We'd have to climb in, and then he'd have to hoist me up on his shoulders. I wanted to run out of there, just thinking about it. But then I thought of Alyssa, knowing this item was here, beating us because I couldn't get over my own issues.
"Okay." I said, stepping over and into it. I was glad I had shoes on.
Once we were both in, Jesse picked me up, his arms around my legs. I grabbed bird house and put me down.
"Let's get out of here and kick her ass in this scavenger hunt for that." He muttered, rushing out of the cabin.
I checked off the bird house on the list. We ran into four of our campers, and they'd already found the book, the recipe, and the boots.
"And Brandon said they found the towel. We just need the shirt." Elease said. "I think it's in our cabin."
"Well, text the others and tell them to get to our cabin. We all have to be there to turn in our things." I said.
We all met up at the girl's cabin. Everyone commenced in searching for the shirt. We were there for about twenty minutes, and I could tell everyone was getting frustrated.
"Maybe it's not here." Courtney said. "Who even had the bright idea to come here?"
"Maybe... you should search harder instead of making jabs at other people's ideas." Elease sneered.
"I've been working my butt off trying to find it!"
"Hey! Don't turn on each other. You'll get nowhere if you do, got it?" Jesse said, taking charge for me. I smiled when they nodded and returned to their search, not daring to argue with him.
"Guys?" Stephanie asked from one of the top bunks.
"Yeah?" I asked for everyone.
She reached up and grabbed something off the fan. "We have items to turn in." she said, smiling.
We'd found the last item.

We ran to the starting point as fast as we could. Jesse and I were at the front, and I was relieved to see that no one else was there yet, especially that Alyssa wasn't. We all threw our items at the administrator, gasping for air. I gave the lady the list as well.
She counted it up and smiled down at our team.
We had won the scavenger hunt.
