8 hours later-

Nightshade shook Delta's shoulder. Nightshade had chosen to take Delta's watch as well, to let the poor dragon sleep. It must be hard, losing your siblings, and then thinking that your mother had something to do with it. Maybe Monsoon IS the power-hungry Queen Anaconda thinks she is...

Delta sat up and glanced around. "Wha-What? Who are- Oh wait. Nightshade right?"

Nightshade bowed then caught herself. "Yeahhh." She dragged out the 'yeah', unused to impolite language like the one she was using right now. She relaxed, then asked Delta, "Hey, are you ready to go?" Delta slowly nodded her head.

"Yeah, I'm ready."

"Then let's go!" Nightshade slammed her wings down and lifted off into the morning air. Delta followed suit, clawing her way through the air. Nightshade glided over to where Delta was obviously struggling. "Hey, you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." A sudden leaf hit Delta in the nose, and she began sneezing and coughing, and she tried to wipe her nose with her wing. Then she started falling.

"AAH!!! HELP! NIGHTSHADE!" Nightshade dived down, through the sky, through the top line of trees, and through the branches, until she found the spot where Delta had fallen. Nightshade raced through the trees until she found Delta. The MudWing let out a loud groan, and rolled over. Nightshade tried to casually walk over there, but her bedside manner was terrible. She ended up sprinting.

"Delta?! Delta?!" Nightshade reached the fallen MudWing. "Are you alright?"

"My- my leg..." Nightshade rolled Delta over, who let out a groan. There was a huge gash in the MudWing's leg.

"Oh three..." Delta gave Nightshade a terrified look. "Um- I mean, it doesn't look too bad..." Delta closed her eyes. Nightshade grabbed a bandage from one of Delta's pouches and began to wrap the wound. I should really get a pouch like this.

Delta opened her eyes after the wound was bandaged. "Woah... That doesn't feel great."

Nightshade looked at Delta. "Are you ok?" Delta nodded.

"I think so."

Nightshade grimaced. "So, listen. I have this thing called magical death spit, venom if you will-"

"I know about venom!"

"Anyway, I think that your wound is infected. I could use my venom to get rid of the infection, but you might lose the feeling in your leg."

"Oh, um... Sure I guess."

"Ok, have you ever heard of a plant called the Black Diamond? It's a tiny black berry that can make dragons immune to the effect of venom for 1 minute."

"Black Diamond? Isn't that the plant that's about to go extinct?"

"Yeah, that one."

"Yes, I heard that there is a single plant per forest."

"One. You're sure?"

"Yes. Only one."

"Well, that's lovely!" Nightshade kicked a rock, then sat down again. "I'll be back before night. Don't leave." She flew off in search of Black Diamond, leaving poor Delta all alone.
