"Did you really think it was over?"

."So you wish to never meet them again?" Spoke a woman whose delicate voice caused my eyes to awaken.
Hues of light golden streaks filled the empty space I occupied. I sat upright and spotted a woman, no, more like a deity, standing before me with a gentle smile.
"Huh?"
We were the only two here, but why am I here?
"I can make it come true. Your wish, that is."
"You... can?" I dryly questioned.
"Of course. After everything they did to you, how could I not help your poor soul?"
I gulped. "What's the catch?"
"Smart of you to ask, but there is none. I'm simply taking pity on your soul."
I scrutinized my eyes and searched her eyes, but saw a flicker of movement between her fingers and I pointed out, "You're lying."
Her gentle smile turned wicked and she closed her eyes. "You got me. Well, I would like to stay young and beautiful, so maybe shave a few years off your next life?"
My eyes widened for a second and I removed my eyes off her as the contemplated the offer. I gulped once again and breathed in a shaky breath. "...okay."
"Really?!" She opened her eyes with her entire expression brightening.
"I'll do it if it means I can finally escape from them."
"You have my word. I'll make sure you never cross paths with them again." She clasped her hands around mine and closed her eyes as she muttered unfamiliar words.
A gentle breeze brushed past me, but it grew stronger within a second and the warm hues that filled the room started to flicker as she altered the course of my fate, but little did I know that the eight of them were doing the exact same thing all for the sake of meeting me again.
They too were bending their own fate with another deity in hopes of being reunited with me in the next life.
"Stop!" Boomed a voice and in an instant, I found myself standing elsewhere, but I paled when I saw the eight of them standing across the room from me.
"W-Why?" My voice trembled and I took a step back, but I gazed up when I saw cursive writing appear above their heads that read 'To be reborn as hers and cross paths with her in every lifetime.'
"No..." I shook my head and gazed back down to meet their longing and regretful eyes.
"(Y/n)..." they reached their hand out, but I held my hand up for them to stop.
"Stay away!"
"But-"
"No!" I interrupted and the emotions within me begin to rouse and I broke down into a sob and fit of rage.
'Why can't they leave me alone?'
.
.
.
."I'm...alive? This can't be..."
.
.
."We only have three chances."
.
.
."This is our last chance to save her."
.
.
.A/N: Soooo.... possibly a sequel? 🤔 If I do, then updates will take some time and I hope it can be something I can finish.
Should I write it as a new book?
