---The evening air in the ENHYPEN dorm was filled with laughter and the sounds of casual chatter. The members lounged around the living room, their comfortable space adorned with soft cushions, blankets, and scattered snacks from their earlier group dinner. Heeseung, the eldest and unofficial leader of the group, sat in the center of the couch, flipping through a magazine filled with childhood photos of various idols. He couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia wash over him.
“Look at this! Jungwon, you were so cute in this one!” Heeseung exclaimed, holding up a picture of a young Jungwon in oversized glasses, making a silly face. The younger members burst into laughter.
“Hey! I wasn’t that cute!” Jungwon protested, his cheeks flushing as he attempted to snatch the magazine from Heeseung's hands.
“Oh, come on! Admit it, you were adorable!” Sunghoon chimed in, leaning against the wall with a smirk. He loved teasing Jungwon whenever he could.
The playful banter continued as Jake and Niki sat cross-legged on the floor, sharing stories from their past.
“Remember when we tried to bake cookies and almost burned down the kitchen?” Jake recalled, chuckling. “I think I still have the smoke detector scars.”
Niki scoffed. “You mean your mom has the scars from having to deal with you in the kitchen!”
The laughter echoed throughout the room, creating a warm atmosphere. Meanwhile, Sunoo, who had been quietly observing the interactions, felt a pang of nostalgia. He wished they could go back to simpler times, where laughter and joy were all that mattered.
As the conversation shifted, Heeseung leaned forward, eyes sparkling with excitement. “Guys! You won’t believe what I found today at that little shop downtown.”
“What? Another plushie?” Jungwon teased, rolling his eyes.
“No, no! This is way cooler!” Heeseung reached into his bag and pulled out a small, shimmering crystal. The light caught its facets, creating a dazzling array of colors that danced across the room.
The other members leaned in, intrigued. “What is it?” Sunghoon asked, his curiosity piqued.
“It’s a magic crystal! The shopkeeper said it has special properties. If you hold it and make a wish, it might just come true!” Heeseung explained, unable to contain his excitement.
The room fell silent for a moment as everyone processed this information.
“Come on, Heeseung, you really believe in that stuff?” Jake asked, crossing his arms skeptically. “It sounds like something out of a fairytale.”
“Yeah, it’s probably just a pretty rock,” Niki added, rolling his eyes.
Sunoo smiled softly, feeling the whimsical atmosphere. He missed the days when magic felt real, and anything seemed possible.
“Just hear me out!” Heeseung insisted. “I think it would be fun to give it a try. Let’s all hold it and make a wish together!”
“Fine, but if we turn into frogs or something, I’m blaming you,” Jake replied, laughter dancing in his eyes.
As they gathered around, Heeseung instructed them to hold hands and focus on their wishes. The members exchanged glances, a mix of skepticism and excitement lighting their faces.
“Okay, on the count of three,” Heeseung began. “One… two… three!”
They all squeezed their eyes shut, feeling the warmth of the crystal pulsating in their palms. “I wish we could relive our childhood!” Heeseung declared, and the others echoed similar sentiments, their wishes intertwining in the air.
Suddenly, a strange surge of energy filled the room, and the crystal began to glow brightly. Startled, the members opened their eyes just in time to see the light enveloping them.
“What’s happening?” Jungwon exclaimed, panic creeping into his voice.
Before Heeseung could respond, the light intensified, and in an instant, the world around them spun wildly. When the light finally faded, Heeseung blinked and looked around, his heart racing.
“Guys?” he called out, confusion lacing his voice.
He looked down to see that the members who were once teenagers were now… toddlers?
“What the…?!” Heeseung gasped, his heart sinking as he took in the sight before him.
Jay, Jake, Sunoo, Sunghoon, Jungwon, and Niki were all transformed into two-year-old children, their small bodies struggling to understand what had just happened. The once animated group of young men was now a chaotic collection of adorable toddlers.
Sunoo was sitting on the floor, wide-eyed and scared, tears brimming in his eyes. He wobbled as he attempted to crawl but fell forward, whimpering softly. Sunghoon was trying to stand but stumbled, his chubby little legs unable to hold his weight.
Jungwon and Niki were clinging to each other, their tiny hands grasping desperately as they tried to make sense of their new reality. Jay was lying on his back, looking up at the ceiling in confusion, while Jake was trying to reach for a toy in the corner, crying out in frustration as he couldn’t quite get it.
Heeseung’s heart raced as he crouched down, trying to make sense of the situation. “Hey! It’s okay, guys. It’s just a temporary thing,” he said, trying to reassure them, but all he received in response were tiny whimpers and frightened looks.
Realizing they couldn’t understand him, Heeseung took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. He had to take care of them, but they didn’t even remember each other or who they were! How could he handle six toddlers all at once?
As he looked around the room, a sense of determination washed over him. Heeseung would do whatever it took to protect them and find a way to reverse whatever had happened.
“Alright, little ones. Let’s stick together, okay?” he said gently, smiling at the frightened toddlers. “We’ll figure this out.”
