After their chaotic but memorable day at the farm, Heeseung decided they needed an adventure that wouldn’t involve any more animals or close encounters with slobber. After some brainstorming, he settled on the indoor playground, a place where the boys could run around without him constantly fearing for their safety.

Armed with juice boxes, snacks, and a ton of patience, Heeseung led the boys to the entrance. The colorful, sprawling playground was like a paradise—there were ball pits, slides, climbing structures, tunnels, and even a mini trampoline area.

The boys stared wide-eyed for a moment. And then, before Heeseung could even finish explaining the rules, they scattered in six different directions.

Jake and Ni-ki darted straight to the ball pit, diving in with delighted squeals as colorful plastic balls flew everywhere. Ni-ki was practically swimming in the sea of balls, popping up like a little gopher and tossing balls at Jake’s head.

“Hey! No fair!” Jake laughed, grabbing as many balls as he could and tossing them back. They quickly escalated into an intense ball pit battle, complete with battle cries, sneak attacks, and the occasional “ow!” as balls ricocheted off their heads.

Heeseung tried to intervene, but each time he got close, Ni-ki would pelt him with balls and dive under the surface to hide. Jake joined in, launching balls in all directions, even hitting a few other unsuspecting kids.

“Boys! Let’s play nicely!” Heeseung tried, but his words were lost in the chaos of giggles and flying balls. Eventually, he had to fish them both out by their shirts and gently redirect them toward the slides.

Meanwhile, Jay and Jungwon had claimed the tallest slide, which was decked out like a swirling tunnel with twists and turns. At the top, Jay puffed out his chest, declaring, “I’m Super Jay, saving the day!” Jungwon, not one to be left behind, struck a pose. “Then I’m Captain Jungwon!”

Heeseung watched, amused, as they debated who would go first.

“Fine! Rock-paper-scissors!” Jay decided.

They threw rock-paper-scissors five times, ending in a tie each time. Eventually, they decided to go together, clinging to each other as they hurtled down the slide, giggling all the way.

When they reached the bottom, they both threw their arms up in victory, as if they’d just saved the world. They high-fived, ran back up, and repeated the slide five more times, perfecting their superhero stances with each turn.

While the others were off adventuring, Sunoo settled himself in the “café area,” pretending to be very grown-up as he sipped his juice box. He adjusted his shirt, giving off an air of refined elegance as he observed the chaos around him. But when he tried to take another sip, his straw slipped out of the juice box, sending juice squirting up into his face.

He sat there, stunned, with juice dripping from his nose.

“Oh no! My juice betrayed me!” he gasped, wiping at his face as Heeseung hurried over with napkins.

“Sunoo, maybe hold it a little lower next time, yeah?” Heeseung said, chuckling as he helped clean him up.

Sunoo nodded with wide eyes, muttering, “That juice was evil…” and making a mental note to be more careful in the future. But five minutes later, he attempted another sip, and the straw slipped again. Heeseung had to turn away, hiding his laughter.

Jake and Ni-ki discovered a series of connected tunnels high up in the playground structure. They crawled in, echoing spooky noises and pretending they were in a haunted maze. Ni-ki, crawling ahead, looked back with a mischievous grin.
