General POV:
Clay and Maria continued giving Winston the tour of his life, showing him around the school, giving him a sense of what it's like to be at, what Clay described to be as, the best place in the world, aka. Liberty High.
"And over there is the drama kids and usually and in every other school, they are weird and shit but here, they are actually quite nice to talk to." Clay said, pointing over to the group of kids wearing hats and weird glasses before waving at one of the girls.
"Surprisingly." Winston added on, trying to make Maria giggle but she didn't. She was way more focused on what was going on with Clay and this girl. "Maria?"
"Hey, what's up Bella?" Clay said, chuckling whilst making his way forward to Bella. She moved a strand of hair away from her face and tucked it behind her ear, probably trying to appear shy and cute or whatever. This sure as shit made Maria feel a slight tug of jealousy in her stomach - and the feeling was shitty. She wanted it to stop but she couldn't. She just couldn't take her eyes off of Clay and this Bella girl.
"Hey! Nothing much, Clay! How's it going?" She replied back softly.
"It's going well, not good but well enough." Clay said, scratching the back of his head before shoving his hands into his trouser pockets.
"Well, seems like you and Maria are having fun with this Winston guy, huh?" Bella said, nudging him lightly, causing Clay to shuffle backwards slightly.
"Yeah, she's alright- I mean, ahem, he's alright. Seems like a nice dude. But I don't know yet, he seems a bit dodgy right now but that's 'cause I haven't met him properly."
"Hm, okay. And you slipped up. You said 'she'? Does this mean you are having fun thinking about Maria?" Bella teased, leaning closer to Clay whilst giggling.
"No! What, no way! No, it's not like that with her, she's just my partner, that's all." Clay said, blushing slightly, the red colour spreading all over his delicate cheeks. He was way too precious.
But things were different from Maria's point of view. To her, it looked like she was flirting with him and giggling, making the jealousy volcano in her stomach start to bubble and broth - both the volcano and her were bound to errupt or better yet, explode. Maria gritted her teeth and Winston was quick to notice her sudden mood change.
"Hey, Maria. What's wrong? You seem a bit... off?" Winston asked, a clear concerned look on his face.
"I'm fine. It's just Clay is taking way too long and we have lunch after this tour is done," Maria started to say, her voice gradually getting louder as she wanted Clay to hear it. "So can we hurry it up a bit?" She practically yelled out loud, making eye contact with Clay, who was a few steps away from her.
"Coming!" Clay called out, before turning to Bella. "I'll see you later, okay?"
"Okay, bye see you at lunch, Clay!" Bella said, waving him goodbye as he walked away from her and back to where Winston and Maria were stood, patiently waiting.
"Sorry about the delay, uh back to the tour-" Clay started to say.
"Actually," Winston cut Clay off abruptly. "I think this tour is over, I pretty much know the whole building now." He smiled.
