"It's a wonderful October day here in Spooksville! The weather is just perfect for our upcoming Halloween Festival of 1986. Today we have a forecast of-"

The sound of the television from downstairs could be heard from King's bedroom. As he put on his shoes he could see his neighbor Eve open up her blinds and open her window.

"Goooooood morning King! Are you going to that club Warlock made?"

"Yep! Like every Saturday morning."

"Aww man, I wish I could join."

"Yeah, ghosts only. Sorry Eve."

"No worries! I still have ballet lessons so I don't mind. Have fun!"

She shut her window and dashed to downstairs. Her dad, Vance, was a Gourdon and her mom, Mary, was a Flame Sprite. So her head was a pumpkin and had two eyes like her dad, but she had a mouth and her head was on fire like her mom. If King was going to be honest, he had a slight crush on her.

He put on his sheet and placed his paper crown neatly on top of his head. He was a ghost, but not in the literal sense. Ghosts were basically invisible people, but usually wore sheets instead of wraps like Mummies do. Some Invisibles usually didn't wear sheets or wraps and just wore normal clothes. The other monsters were the Moth People, like Patchy's stepmom and step sister.

As King leaves out the front door he watched Eve and her dad walk out to their car. Eve saw King and immediately smiled and waved. Vance, her dad, also notices him and stared to sign.

'Good morning King. How are your parents?'

"Good Morning Mr. Horseman. My parents are just fine, mom is recovering well from her surgery thank you for asking. Say hello to Mrs. Horseman and Hallow for me!"

'Will do, take care kiddo.'

Vance's carved eyes crinkle in what would have been a smile. As Eve drags her dad into their car, King grabs his bicycle nearby and rides off. He rides off towards the edge of the nature park nearby the playground. King gets off his bike and places to the tree next to the playground. He turns to the kids playing on the slides.

"Make sure no one steals my bike, roger that?" King orders. The small children look at him and gave him a salute. He chuckles and walks into the forest.

He walked down the path made by him and other neighborhood families throughout the years. King continued on until he saw a fairly decent looking treehouse. Another ghost appeared next to him coming from a different part of the park. This ghost was fairly small with lavender colored polka dots sprinkled on her sheet.

"Morning Mini. How are you?"

" 'm fine. How're you King?"

"I'm good."

Mini nodded. She wasn't too keen on talking, but she was still fun to have around. King looked up to the platform of the treehouse.

"Warlock, could you throw down the ladder please?"

A voice from above calls out to them. "What's the password?"

"Warlocks aren't boy witches."

A ladder is thrown down to King and Mini. Mini looks up to him expectantly. Since the ladder only went down halfway, Mini couldn't reach it. King picked her up and climbed on after her. As she got tot the top she let out a silent thanks.

As they entered the treehouse they noticed 4 more ghosts inside. The tallest ghost had a hat from a wizard costume he got from last year's Halloween. As they settled onto the carpet in the middle of the room the tall ghost began to speak.
