Anna, meanwhile, struggled to come to terms with the whirlwind of emotions that Hans had left in his wake. She felt foolish for having fallen for his lies, for not listening to the people who had tried to warn her. But more than anything, she felt a deep sense of loss.

In the days following Hans' arrest, Anna found herself spending more time alone, questioning her judgment and wondering if she would ever be able to trust her heart again.

It was Rapunzel who finally coaxed her out of her self-imposed isolation. One afternoon, Rapunzel knocked on Anna's door, holding a basket of Anna's favorite treats from the kitchens. When Anna didn't respond, Rapunzel gently pushed the door open.

"Hey," Rapunzel said softly, stepping into the room. Anna was sitting by the window, her knees pulled up to her chest as she stared out at the snow-covered courtyard.

Anna didn't turn around, but she sighed. "I don't want to talk, Rapunzel."

"I know," Rapunzel said, setting the basket down on the table. "But you're going to, because I'm your cousin and I'm stubborn."

Anna gave a half-hearted laugh but didn't move from her spot.

Rapunzel sat down beside her, pulling out a cinnamon roll from the basket. "I brought these for you. The cooks made them just the way you like."

Anna glanced at the cinnamon roll but didn't take it. Instead, she sighed again and rested her chin on her knees. "I just... I feel so stupid."

"You're not stupid," Rapunzel said gently. "Hans is the one who's an idiot. You trusted someone who didn't deserve it, but that doesn't mean you're stupid."

Anna finally looked at her cousin, her eyes red from crying. "But how could I have been so blind? He was lying to me the whole time, and I didn't even see it."

Rapunzel reached out and took Anna's hand. "Because you have a good heart, Anna. You see the best in people, and that's not a bad thing. You didn't do anything wrong."

Anna's lip quivered, and she leaned into Rapunzel, resting her head on her cousin's shoulder. "I just don't know how to move on from this."

"You will," Rapunzel promised, wrapping her arm around Anna. "It'll take time, but you'll heal. And you won't have to do it alone."
