The cafeteria buzzed with conversation as Yeosang, Wooyoung, and San stepped inside, searching for a table. Yeosang had managed to calm down a bit after the rush of his first class and his earlier nerves, especially now that Wooyoung was finally by his side. But the newness of everything still made him feel on edge.
As they found a seat by the window, Wooyoung plopped down first, letting out an exaggerated sigh of relief. "Finally! I thought I'd never make it through the morning. College is already exhausting."
"You werent even in class." Yeo rolled his eyes. "But first day and there was already a lot lot work."
San chuckled as he sat across from Wooyoung, his smile easy and relaxed. "Yeah, it's a lot to take in. But at least you two seem like you've got it all figured out, being best friends and all."
Yeosang shifted in his seat, feeling a little self-conscious at San's comment. "Well, sort of," he mumbled. "We're still figuring it out too."
Wooyoung leaned forward with a smirk, eyes gleaming. "Oh, don't let him fool you. Yeosang here's the smartest guy I know. Without him, I'd probably be lost in some random building right now, not knowing where my classes are."
San raised an eyebrow, his attention flickering to Yeosang with curiosity. "Really? You don't seem like the lost type."
Yeosang blushed and waved a hand. "I'm just good at memorizing maps."
Wooyoung, not missing a beat, turned to San with a playful grin. "You know, San, if you ever need help finding your way around, Yeosang's got you covered. But if you're ever looking for something a little more... fun, I'm your guy."
San looked slightly surprised but amused, raising an eyebrow as he leaned back in his chair. "Fun, huh?"
"Oh, definitely," Wooyoung replied with a wink. "I'm an expert at turning boring days into unforgettable ones. You can ask Yeosang—I drag him into all kinds of adventures."
Yeosang glanced nervously between them, feeling the atmosphere shift slightly. Wooyoung's flirtatious tone wasn't exactly new to him, but it still caught him off guard whenever he aimed it at someone else. Especially someone like San, who seemed so... different.
San, however, didn't seem fazed. Instead, he played along, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "I'll keep that in mind," he said smoothly. "But I don't know if Yeosang could handle too many of your adventures."
Yeosang's face warmed again, and he quickly interjected, "Hey, I'm fine with adventures... just not *too* many at once."
Wooyoung laughed, reaching over to ruffle Yeosang's hair. "Sure you are, Yeosang. You're the balance. And that's why we're a perfect team. You, me, and now..." He paused dramatically, casting San a playful look. "Maybe you too, San?"
San chuckled, clearly entertained by Wooyoung's antics. "I don't know. You might have to convince me."
Wooyoung leaned forward, his voice dropping in mock seriousness. "Oh, trust me, I'm very convincing. Give me one day, and you'll never want to leave."
Yeosang coughed lightly, feeling like the conversation was spiraling into unfamiliar territory. He tried to shift the focus back to something safer. "So... do you have another class after this, San?"
San's eyes flicked back to Yeosang, his smile softening a bit. "Yeah, I've got one more later this afternoon. What about you guys?"
Wooyoung, thankfully, picked up the conversation from there, and the flirtation faded into the background—at least for the moment. "I've got one more, too, but after that? We're totally free. And that's when the real fun begins."
"Fun?" Yeosang repeated with a groan, already knowing where this was going. "What now, Wooyoung?"
Wooyoung shot him a mischievous grin. "Well, I was thinking we could check out the club fair. You know, see what's happening around campus. Meet people. Expand your horizons."
Yeosang shifted uncomfortably, the thought of meeting new people making his anxiety spike again. "I'm not really sure I want to..."
Wooyoung sighed dramatically, as if this was something they had been through a thousand times. "Come on, Yeosang. You can't stay hidden forever. And who knows? Maybe you'll find something you like."
"Or someone," San added, a teasing glint in his eyes.
Yeosang blinked, taken aback, but before he could respond, Wooyoung leaned in again, his grin widening. "Exactly. And hey, maybe even I could meet someone. You never know who might be wandering around out there."
San, clearly entertained by Wooyoung's confidence, chuckled. "You've got a lot of optimism, Wooyoung."
"I call it charm," Wooyoung replied, flashing another wink. "Works every time."
Yeosang let out a soft sigh, shaking his head but smiling despite himself. It was hard to stay anxious around Wooyoung's boundless energy, and San's laid-back attitude was helping him feel more at ease, too. Maybe they could check out the fair together—so long as Wooyoung didn't rope him into anything too embarrassing.
They spent the next few minutes finishing up their food, with Wooyoung continuing to tease San in his usual lighthearted way. San, to Yeosang's surprise, gave it right back, joking around while keeping the conversation comfortable. The trio fell into an easy rhythm, and for the first time all day, Yeosang felt like he could breathe.
When they finally stood to leave, Wooyoung stretched dramatically. "Alright, I've got one more class to survive. But after that? Dinner. We're celebrating surviving day one."
San nodded, adjusting the strap of his backpack. "Sounds like a plan. I'll meet you guys later?"
"Of course," Wooyoung said, clapping a hand on San's shoulder. "Don't let Yeosang run off before I get back."
San smiled at Yeosang. "I'll try my best."
Yeosang just shook his head, already anticipating Wooyoung's relentless teasing later. But as they left the cafeteria, a small part of him couldn't help but feel grateful for both of them.
"Lets go." San smiled grabbing Yeosang by the hand.
