Yeosang sat at the café table with Wooyoung, absentmindedly stirring his coffee as he tried to focus on the conversation. The bustling sounds of students heading to class buzzed around them, but his mind kept wandering. It was the second day of college, and he thought today might feel a little easier—until Wooyoung had shown him a text from San.

"He's not coming today," Wooyoung said casually, putting his phone down after reading San's message. "Something came up, I guess."

Yeosang blinked, looking up from his coffee. "He texted you?"

Wooyoung nodded, taking a bite of his breakfast. "Yeah, said he couldn't make it. Not sure what's going on, though."

Yeosang tried to brush it off, but a small knot of disappointment formed in his chest. He didn't know why it bothered him so much. It wasn't like San had to text him or anything. They had only just met yesterday, but something about the fact that San had reached out to Wooyoung instead made him feel... left out.

He pushed the thought away, not wanting to overthink it. It wasn't a big deal. Really, it wasn't.

"Well, that's too bad," Yeosang said quietly, trying to sound unaffected.

"Yeah, I guess," Wooyoung replied between bites, clearly not as bothered by the news. "But hey, at least you don't have to compete for my attention today." He grinned at Yeosang, nudging his shoulder playfully.

Yeosang forced a small smile, grateful for Wooyoung's attempt to lighten the mood. "Lucky me."

Wooyoung looked at him more closely, sensing the shift in his mood. "You alright?"

Yeosang shrugged, not wanting to make a big deal out of it. "I'm fine. Just... a little tired, I guess."

"You sure?" Wooyoung raised an eyebrow, leaning back in his chair. "You've been kinda off since we got here."

Yeosang took a sip of his coffee, using the moment to gather his thoughts. "I don't know, it's nothing. Just thought we'd all hang out again today, that's all."

Wooyoung's expression softened, and he gave Yeosang a knowing look. "You really liked him, huh? San?"

Yeosang's heart skipped a beat at the direct question. "I mean, he's cool," he mumbled, trying not to sound too flustered. "I just thought we'd get to know him better. That's all."

"Don't worry," Wooyoung said with a grin, leaning forward. "He'll be back. And you'll have plenty of time to bond. You and I can still make it through the day, just the two of us. Like old times."

Yeosang couldn't help but smile a little at that. Despite the pang of disappointment still lingering, Wooyoung's lightheartedness was infectious. "Yeah, I guess you're right. It's not so bad. But it was good knowing someone in class."

"You can find someone else its just the second day yeo chill." Woo rolled his eyes standing up and grabbing his bag. "Come on, we've got class. Let's go before we're late."

Yeosang nodded, pushing himself to his feet and slinging his bag over his shoulder. As they left the café, he felt the weight in his chest begin to lift, even if just a little. He knew he was being overly sensitive, but it wasn't something he could help. Still, with Wooyoung by his side, maybe today wouldn't be so bad after all.

As they walked to class, Wooyoung filled the silence with his usual banter, talking about everything from their upcoming assignments to some wild rumor he'd heard about one of their professors. Yeosang mostly listened, letting Wooyoung's words wash over him as he tried to shake off the strange feelings from earlier.

But every now and then, his thoughts drifted back to San. Why hadn't San texted him? Did it mean something? Or was he just being paranoid?

He sighed quietly, pushing those thoughts away again. It didn't matter. San would be back, and they'd figure out where they stood eventually. For now, Yeosang just needed to focus on getting through the day.
