Lunch had been nice. Alarice was such a wonderful person with such a great personality; there was not even a moment of silence among the three of them. She seemed to be inquisitive by nature and a very loquacious speaker. Laughter and happiness were the only things lingering in the air.

After lunch, Alejandro and Jade had bid goodbye to Alarice and both got back to work. They had not yet finished with the Johnson case and the matter would be taken to court in a week's time. They had to find something against Mr. Johnson which would allow Mrs Johnson to be reunited with her son again.

So, they were both sat on the floor of Alejandro's office looking for any aberration in the files of Mr. Johnson.

"I think I've found something," Alejandro said.

"Let me see," Jade pushed some folders away and came closer.

She could not believe what she saw. They would certainly win against the opponent with such an argument!

"Alejandro, you are a genius!"

"I try, I try," he said cheekily.

"I swear I could kiss you," She exclaimed excitedly, ignoring his comment.

"Well, you can," he offered her his cheek.

Well, what harm could be done by a small kiss on the cheek? Sure, business partners were not supposed to go around kissing each other but they had done much more and far worse than that.

She approached slowly and just when she was about to plant a kiss on his cheek, he turned around and smashed their lips together in the most surprising way.

Could anyone blame her for not pulling away?

She moved her hands to his set and defined jaw, his well-kept stubble scratching against her smooth skin. His long and skilled fingers entangled themselves into her auburn mane.

He licked her lower lip, seeking entrance and when she did not respond, he disentangled one hand from her hair and pinched her butt causing her to let out a squeal. His tongue successfully entered her hot mouth and she thanked God she had not eaten anything with onion for lunch. Passion, lust and another emotion overwhelmed her senses. Could it be love?

He made her feel things nobody had ever made her feel before. She felt safe with him and nothing could be more comforting than his embrace. But if she really was, was she ready to admit it? Certainly not. What if he did not feel the same way? What if he turned into another Sean?

They pulled away and Alejandro rested his forehead on hers in the most romantic way and whispered,

"I really really like you Jade and I know that you are not ready for this kind of relationship but just know that I won't force you into anything. When and if you will feel anything for me, we will discuss our feelings and work this out but if you won't then we'll just stay friends. But just know that I sincerely think that I could possibly be falling in love with you."

Did he know how to read people's thoughts? He certainly erased any thoughts she had about him being another Sean. She hesitated before answering,

"I-" She shuttered, "I think that I really like you too."

He smiled at her lovingly before planting a kiss on her forehead.

Ugh, why was he so freaking romantic?
