Kara stares out the window, frozen as dark, creeping figures emerge from the misty night. Their bodies are twisted, hollow-eyed creatures, reeking of death. Reven draws a sword made of ethereal light.
Reven: "The Pale Ones' servants have come. They can sense the power of your soul."
Kara is paralyzed with fear, but Reven pulls her toward him, his voice calm but urgent.
Reven: "If you want to survive, you'll need to trust me. Fight with me."
Kara (desperate): "I can't! I don't know how—what is all of this?"
Reven: "You'll have to learn quickly. You are more powerful than you know."
Kara's body moves on its own, a sudden rush of energy surging through her veins. Reven's power flows into her, and together, they fight off the shadowy creatures. Despite her lack of training, Kara's connection to Reven makes her stronger, faster.
