He had been staring at Gregory all night.

The poor fool really thought he had been an accomplice to murder, Shang thought, not at all fazed by the idea.

What he had gathered about the humans so far was that they no longer valued the "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" saying. Revenge killing simply wasn't in anymore.

Ashanti came back from the store, large bags of bread, meat, and cheese gathered in her arms.

"This place is amazing! They already have the cow slaughtered before you even order!" She shouted with glee as Shang Li helped her with her groceries.

"I'll never cease to be amazed!" She declared, earning a slight glare from Shang Li.

Groaning was the sound of the young wolf waking up. Ashanti smiled, untied the girl, and asked her "Do you know of the marketplace called Wal-Mart?"

The girl yelped in surprise at the sudden proximity of the lady cat.

"What?" She asked, carefully examining her surroundings.

Ashanti started to make sandwiches, with Shang's help, and said "Hurry and clean up you two, we have to have a strategizing meeting. You guys smell like shit."

Gregory and the pup looked at each other, both confused at the situation, and knew that the other was just like themself, a hostage. And with that, they took solace in it, camaraderie too, and went to wash up.

"Now, young fools, we shall plot to take over the supernatural world!" Ashanti shouted, foot on the table, sandwich in both hand and mouth.

"What?" The girl asked, an expression of bewilderment on her face.

"If I say it a second time, its effect will dwindle!" Ashanti answered, still striking the same pose.

Shang gave a small round of applause for encouragement, glared at Greg, who shoved the girl, and the two of them joined in on the applause.

"Thank you!" Ashanti said, finally sitting down in her chair.

"Now, there are four whippersnappers we have to get rid of and 3 Ancient Ones we just gotta piss off." Ashanti started, sipping apple juice from a large bottle.

"Uhh, question?" Greg timidly asked, raising his hand and glancing at Shang for permission.

Shang nodded his head in approval and Gregory continued.
"Who paid for all this food?"

Ashanti halted, laughed, and finally said "Foolish human, I've never paid for a thing in my life, and I never will!"

"Oh...So how did you get all this food?" Greg asked, panic slowly starting to settle in.

"I took it of course!"

Greg slowly reached for his phone and typed in "Walmart Robbery, Chicago" but found no results.

As he looked confused, Ashanti answered, "No need to use your sorcery. I am a master thief! There is no way I would have been caught by you humans!" Gregory sighed, and didn't even wonder about how she escaped Walmart's security cameras.

"Can I ask a question?" The girl asked, unsure of what to make of the situation.

"Sure pup." Ashanti answered.

"My name's not pup, it's Alice." She replied.
"Why are you plotting to take over the world? It's unbelievably foolish, and impossible." Alice asked, wrinkles in her forehead and all.

"We are doing this because the world has forgotten who I am. And that is the greatest mistake that can be made." Ashanti had a sly grin on her face, and her tail sprouted while whipping menacingly.

"It's not impossible." Shang commented, sipping tea from a coffee to-go cup as gracefully as it could be done.

Ashanti's eyes turned feline, her claws sharp, and her ears pushed back.

"It's been a long time since I've waged war on the world."

And at that moment, both Gregory and Alice knew there was no going back.

"We all know The Tigress is insane. We can leave her alone for the time being and target our third biggest threat, the Vamp." Argus planned out with the rest of the council.

Romolli sighed in relief, wiping his tears away and grabbing hold of his blood-on-the-go pack. Romolli loved to invent items that could help vampires out in their day to day lives, such as portable blood bags. A quality in which Shang Li had found promising in him when he had just turned him into a vampire.

Romolli always took comfort in knowing that Shang was alive and well, but now that things had turned out the way they did, Romolli was glad to finally be able to exterminate the threat Shang posed once and for all.
