Chapter 12: Lyka's Mission, Kiana's Heart

Scene 1: Lyka's Return

After a year in Lusitania, Lyka had learned many things about magic, dimensions, and her own limits. But there was one piece of magic she had been working on more than any other—a spell that would allow her to traverse worlds without disrupting the balance of either. She had perfected it for one reason: to return to Kiana, even if it was only for a short time.

But Lyka wasn't just returning for a reunion—she had a mission. A powerful prisoner had escaped from Lusitania, someone with the ability to manipulate time and dimensions. She had tracked the fugitive to Kiana's world, and she knew it was dangerous for her to remain there for long. But a small part of her, the part that still ached with longing for Kiana, saw this mission as a way to reunite with the girl she loved.

As Lyka stepped through the portal, the familiar landscape of Kiana's world unfolded around her. She took a deep breath, her heart pounding as she gazed out at the Hyperion in the distance. This world felt like a second home, but she knew deep down that she didn't belong here. Not for long, at least.

Lyka: (softly, to herself) I've missed you, Kiana...

Scene 2: Reuniting with Kiana

Kiana was on the Hyperion's balcony, staring out into the night sky. The stars shimmered above her, but her thoughts were far from peaceful. Mei was still out there, with the World Serpent, and though Kiana had become the Herrscher of Flamescion, her heart was still torn by the thought of Mei. She loved Lyka, but Mei... she could never let go of what they had.

As Kiana stood lost in thought, a familiar golden light appeared behind her. Her heart skipped a beat as she turned to see Lyka, standing there with a gentle smile. Kiana's breath caught in her throat, emotions flooding her all at once.

Kiana: (whispering, shocked) Lyka... is it really you?

Lyka smiled, her heart swelling at the sight of Kiana. She had waited so long for this moment, but she knew it wasn't just a reunion—it was the beginning of something much harder.

Lyka: (softly) It's me, Kiana. I'm back... but not for long.

Kiana's face fell slightly, her joy at seeing Lyka quickly overshadowed by the weight of those words. Not for long. She stepped closer, her hand reaching out to touch Lyka's, her voice trembling with emotion.

Kiana: (softly) You... you're leaving again?

Lyka nodded, her heart heavy. She wished she could stay, but the reality of her mission was too pressing. She had come here to stop a dangerous prisoner, not to rekindle her love for Kiana. But even so, seeing Kiana again stirred all the feelings she had tried to push down.

Lyka: (gently) I have a mission, Kiana. There's a prisoner... someone who can manipulate time and dimensions. I have to capture them before they cause more damage. But... part of me came back because I needed to see you.

Kiana's heart ached at Lyka's words, the mixture of love and loss swirling inside her. She had missed Lyka every day, and now she was here, but only for a short while. Tears welled up in Kiana's eyes as she stepped closer, her hand still holding onto Lyka's as if she were afraid to let go.
