Healing Strays

Chapter 3

"You know hyung, you've always been a bit terrifying, but knowing you're able to weaponize the maknae line to do your bidding takes that to a whole new level." Changbin mutters, while rubbing along the back of his neck as they walk down the hallway.

Minho gives him a sharkish smile, "It helps when you're in charge of their food. Every single one of them knows better than to question when I ask them to do something. Besides," his grin shifts into a smirk, "They were all a bit annoyed with Jinnie anyways. I was just giving them permission to act without worrying about Chan coming back at them about it later."

Changbin shrugs his shoulders, "See, that makes a bit more sense."

Jisung huffs, rolling his eyes before pulling on Changbin's sleeve, "Which door is her's?"

Changbin and Lee Know refocus, the younger alpha leading them down to the last door in the hallway. He glances at Jisung, making sure the omega hasn't changed his mind. He's greeted by a blank stare, so he internally nods in defeat before knocking on the door. The three of them do their best not to jump when the door is yanked open in front of them. Changbin smiles at Nari, feeling a bit nervous about the situation. Lee Know and Jisung stare at her, recognizing her face from the previous news broadcast. Jisung can't help but stare her up and down, trying to understand what makes Hyunjin willing to bond with her and not him.

Nari gives them all a hesitant smile, "Changbin! This is a welcome surprise. I'm assuming these are two more of you pack mates." He nods, unable to get his voice to respond. She doesn't seem to mind though, instead standing back and waving them inside, "Come in, come in. Please. How is Felix doing?"

They step inside, door closing behind them, "He's... um... he's doing well."

Nari smiles, "Good I'm glad." She walks off into the apartment, "Feel free to sit anywhere. Can I get you anything? Fruit, juice, coffee, tea? Water?"

"Water would be lovely." Minho drawls softly, hand never leaving Jisung's back.

Nari nods, bringing over some glasses and pitchers to the group of chairs they've decided to sit on. She glances at Changbin who startles before offering quick introductions, "Nari, this is Lee Know, our Second Alpha, and Jisung, our Pack Omega."

This causes her to jolt to attention, a warm smile on her face as she dips a quick bow to Jisung. "Oh! I'm so excited to meet you. Felix was talking so highly of you yesterday when I was working through his healing. Anyone who makes his aura sing like that has to be an amazing pack omega."

Jisung tilts his head, "Yes... and I've been wanting to meet you since I discovered that members of my pack were making themselves at home in your nest without consulting with me first."

This stops her in her tracks, "They... didn't?" Her voice wavers head tilting to the side. Her eyes move down to her lap, and they can hear her muttering to herself, "No... because... no they...." Her eyes lift up to Jisung's, face going completely white, "I am so sorry. Oh my gods. I am so sorry. I didn't even realize." She gets down onto the ground, body pressed to the floor in a bow.

Jisung turns to stare at Changbin, then Minho. The older of the two watches them with a blank expression, but Jisung knows him enough to see through the facade. He looks to believe the omega bowing before them, and he's always been a good judge of character. He's also known for sniffing out lies, so for him to look convinced by her actions says something. Jisung turns back to look at Nari, "I will accept your apology, only because it seems to be given in earnest."

Nari stays on the ground for a minute, staring up at the other omega, "I offer up my submission in form of repentance." She says it with a strong voice, staring Jisung in the eyes before averting her gaze and tilting her head to the side. Her hands also come up to rest wrists up on her thighs, and she arches her stomach towards him to offer her unprotected torso to him. Changbin and Minho take deep breathes at the action, knowing that she's recognizing Jisung as having a position over her and it's not something she'd ever be able to take back.
