A piercing headache shoots through Gojo's eye and fails to escape out of the back of his head. His desperate hands clutch onto the messy locks of hair that point every which way as he leans his elbows on the kitchen sides.

When he had woken up this morning, it seemed that the house was empty, with natsukis room being silent and she wasn't in the living room or kitchen. He checked the bathroom quickly before going to leave and sees she's not there, but her hairbrush, riddled with knotted black hair, was on the floor. She must have been in a rush. Who knows where to, though?

Him. He knows where.

The coffee shop, just five minutes away from their apartment.

He knows she needs a job so she can escape Tokyo, but she doesn't know he knows. She doesn't know much about him, despite him knowing so much about her.

He takes his hands out of his hair with a sigh, trying to control his anger. But anyone who do much as looked at him would see he's riddled with the emotion. It's spread all over his face. On his tight eyebrows, on his slight grimace, on his bloodshot eyes.

"FUCK!" He slams his fist down on the kitchen counter, the scream escaping his lips before he can even register the flood of emotions coming over him.

He cups his fist with his hand, looking around desperately, pleading with thin air for help. But like usual, it doesn't come. It never does.

With a blink of an eye, he's standing in Jujutsu High School, looking equally as pissed as he was a few seconds ago, his eyes full of rage as they lock onto a Mr Kento Nanami.

His arm reaches forward as he pulls the man around. "Nanami! I can't do it. I can't do it." He continues repeating himself as he pulls the glasses off of his face, revealing his watery eyes. The bloodshot sight of them doesn't come as a shock to Nanami, whose blank expression remains as Gojo wipes the bottoms of his eyes.

"This may be difficult for you, but just remember how much more difficult it would be if you didn't have her." Gojo's hand slips off of Nanami's shoulder and falls down to his side.

"I know that! God, Nanami, I know that!" His bottom lip wavers as he steps back, "I know that better than any of you!" He turns around to point at Shoko and Yaga, who are frozen on the spot, their conversation long lost to the sound of Gojo's pleading words. "But she doesn't even recognize me, damn it! She looked me right in my face and didn't even know our past. I *hate* it. And before you tell me I knew what I was signing up for, I didn't think it would be so goddamn hard!" He stares down Yaga, his eyebrows sternly furrowed and his stance strong.

He pushes past Nanami, shockingly able to move his large build to the side as he walks down the corridor, his footsteps not loud enough to block out the sound of him breathing loudly.

His eyes only glance in the mirror for a second before he rips them away and places his glasses over them.

After a minute of mindless walking to calm himself down, he knocks on the basement door and flings it open, treading down the stairs loudly where he sees Yuji Itadori sitting on the sofa, a plushie in one hand and a can of Dr Pepper in the other.

"Kid! Hey!" He shoves his hands in his pockets and walks around to the front of the sofa with a smile. He watches as Yuji glances up and smiles, "You're doing good at this, Yuji." He glances over to the TV and recognizes the drama on the screen and gestures over to it with his thumb, "20th Century Girl, huh?"

Yuji nods, "Yeah! It's really emotional but, you know," he shrugs proudly, the grin on his face never faltering, "I'm just a pro at keeping my emotions under check now." He sits up and tilts his head at Gojo, "Anything you wanna talk about?"

Gojo nods, turning off the TV and leaning against the wall beside it.

"Well, I feel bad having you sleeping in my cold basement every night, so I decided that you can spend every weekend with me, starting in five days. I'll collect you and take you over. Just know I share the apartment with a girl."

"Oh yeah? That'll be so sick, Gojo! We can watch TV and play games and-" smack!

The plushie in his lap reels back its arm and swings forward, swiveling Yuji's head to the left and forcing him backwards.

"Shit!" He clasps his cheek, wincing in pain as his cheek stings bright red. He slows down his breathing and watches as the animated plushie drifts back to sleep, its glass eyes shutting slowly.

Gojo taps the plushie on its head and grabs it, discarding it behind Yuji, "You like that idea then?"

"Thanks, Gojo." He crosses his legs, and an excited smile appears naturally on his face, "Yeah, I do! I won't get in the girl's way though, will I?"

Gojo shakes his head, his eye contact with Yuji drifting away as his head tilts towards the floor, "No, you won't. But about her..." He frowns distantly, his foot tapping against the floor, "You may recognize her from the photos in the main hall, but I absolutely forbid you from talking to her about jujutsu, okay?".

It has become increasingly more obvious that he's upset to everyone around him, so he quickly looks up at Yuji and flashes him a comforting smile.

Yuji returns the smile, glad to be allowed to be emotional now. "Sure thing, Gojo!" He leaps up to his feet, "I'll be on my best behavior! No jujutsu, just everyday normal stuff!".

Up until just a month ago, he had lived a normal life, he'll be a pro at talking like a normal kid since beneath the second set of eyes and newly found powers, he's a normal kid.

"That's it, Yuji! To her, you're just a normal kid and I'm a normal guy." He nods, walking past Yuji and ruffling his spiky pink hair roughly. "See you tomorrow, kid." He looks back to the boy before disappearing upstairs and teleporting back to his apartment right in front of Shoko's eyes as she approaches him, a concerned look in her heavy eyes.

"Gojo-!"

Her voice becomes nothing but a whisper as he appears in his bedroom.

He gives his messy room just a glance before heading out of it and into the corridor. He spots Natsuki's shoes outside of her room and hears her soft snores escaping from under the door.

"Goodnight, Natty." His hand brushes against her door as he walks over to the kitchen, noticing the setting sun out of the window and realizing just how long he's been gone.
