"You have got to be kidding me."
Her hands fly to her face where they drag down, pulling her mouth and eyes open into a vile face that only partially reflects her sour mood.
By this point, Natsuki's eyes had adjusted to the dark void encapsulating her room, the sun not even having had risen, and yet, the banging coming from Gojo's room hasn't subsided. God, whether this man is creating a machine or destroying his room, he's relentless. As soon as Natsuki had managed to fall asleep, her dreams were ripped from her with the first loud metallic clang being at around one in the morning. And now it's five in the morning.
A deep sigh drifts out of Natsuki's mouth as she climbs out of her bed.
She makes her way to the bathroom and glances at Gojo's room. What on earth is he doing in there? How can someone be able to make such a relentless ruckus—bang!
His door shakes threateningly as something in his room crashes to the floor.
Other than that, he doesn't make another sound, his annoying lips probably shut. God, this guy.
Natsuki runs her hands over the wall as she walks past his room over to the bathroom in the pitch black. Maybe the feeling of the cold wall is soothing to her sweaty, warm palms, or maybe she just hopes that he'll hear that he's woken her up and feel a little bit of sympathy and silence himself. But no, he doesn't.
As she enters the bathroom, she hears another series of bangs followed by complete silence. She clutches the hem of her shirt angrily as she spots the toilet seat up and has to stop herself from screaming, "GOJO!"
She slams down the lid, its loudness echoing through the bathroom and out into the hallway. She spins on her heel and storms out of the bathroom and back into her bedroom where she slams her door, shaking the walls.
She listens to the sweet and rare sound of Gojo's silence and collapses onto her bed, the sun finally rising sweetly.
"Good morning, komiki." She waves to the window behind her, lifting her head and eventually her body, mustering up the energy to stand up and change into her work clothes.
She finally reaches the kitchen where she grabs some paper and a pen from a drawer and quickly scribbles out a note, slamming it down onto the kitchen table loudly before leaving the apartment and heading to her work.
"Hey Gojo, if you could please refrain from leaving the toilet seat up as it causes me a lot of annoyance in the morning, that'd be great. -Hirai." Yep, that sounds good. Not demanding, not disrespectful. Just fine.
After a short walk, she arrives at the coffee shop, where she's greeted by Kokomi, who is thankfully on her shift. After two hours, they sit down in the staff room for a small break.
"Ugh!" Kokomi sits on the sofa beside Natsuki, chugging water quickly before slamming her bottle down, splashing small water droplets on the pair. "I love this job, it pays well and my coworkers are nice, right?" She nudges Natsuki and they both giggle, "But! But, but, but! The fact that a ten-minute break after two hours of non-stop working is normal is actually crazy, right?"
Natsuki nods, her under-eyes dark and her eye whites bloodshot, "I don't know, Kokomi. It doesn't help that my flatmate spent four hours banging around in his room doing God knows what." The words tumble out of her mouth before she can stop them. Ugh, fuck it. Even if she's not meant to be getting attached to anyone in Tokyo, a little bit of girl talk can't hurt, right?
Kokomi giggles into her hands, her eyes squinted, "Doing God knows what?" She rolls her eyes and holds Natsuki's hand sympathetically. "Girl, he was obviously fucking someone."
