Amra nodded and walked out of the room, still tearful, she proceeded to the garden. But as she reached it, she felt an unexpected tug on her arm, and someone pulled her into the garden.
She intended to scream, but Khalid swiftly put his hand over her mouth and whispered, "Shh, it's me, relax." He withdrew his hand from her mouth.
Amra drew a shaky breath, her voice barely above a whisper. "Ya Khalid, you scared me," she said, her words trembling with relief.
"Come with me." Khalid guided her to a tranquil garden bench and sat down beside her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," he said softly. He turned his head to meet Amra's eyes with a fake smile plastered on his lips.
Amra nodded, her eyes locking onto his as she replied while trying to keep a straight face. "It's okay, Ya Khalid," she impatiently said. "Why did you bring me here?" She's in trouble right now, she doesn't have the patience to listen to whatever nonsense Khalid has to say.
Khalid's expression turned solemn. "Amra, I brought you here because I want to talk to you privately," he said, his voice low and serious.
Amra's curiosity piqued. "What is it that you want to talk to me about?"
Khalid's words spilled out. "Amra, I know you have feelings for Rayyan, and I understand because I feel the same way about Tasleem."
Amra's eyes widened in stunned disbelief. "What? You... love Tasleem?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Amra had tried her best to separate Rayyan and Tasleem but there was always something or someone to disrupt it. But now she found a new hope.
"Yes," Khalid nodded, his voice filled with conviction. "Amra, I truly love Tasleem with every fiber of my being. Rayyan's always taken what's mine since we were kids, and when Tasleem came to our home, I fell for her instantly. But he took her from me, married her, and left me with nothing but this burning desire to reclaim her. I'll stop at nothing to make her mine, truly mine this time."
Amra frowned and said, " Ya Khalid, it's not as if Ya Rayyan married Tasleem out of love. He was forced into the marriage; he never wanted to marry her in the first place. And they haven't shared a room since they got married." Amra couldn't understand what people saw in Tasleem that made everyone love her. It wasn't long before Khalid was pursuing her, but how could his love change so fast?
"How did you know they hadn't shared a room?" Khalid asked, hoping they hadn't.
"I overheard Amira and Tasleem talking when I visited Ya Rayyan's house," Amra said. "Tasleem mentioned that she and Ya Rayyan didn't share a room."
Khalid smiled widely. The fact that Tasleem didn't share a room with Rayyan was a relief to him.
Amra laughed at Khalid's reaction, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Now that we're in this together, how do we proceed?" She asked.
Khalid took her hand, his expression thoughtful. "I have a plan. Let's discuss the details."
Amra's curiosity was piqued. "Tell me more." She would gladly participate in anything that would end the marriage between Tasleem and Rayyan.
As Khalid outlined his idea, Amra's face lit up with excitement. "I'm in. When do we start?"
"I'll tell you when it's time." Khalid replied, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. "I hope it works out for us."
Amra's smile reassured him. "Insha'Allah, it will. We'll face it together."
With a nod, Amra wished him luck. "All the best."
Khalid echoed her sentiment. "All the best to us." And if their plan didn't work out, he will definitely put the blame on Amra. He knows she's foolish and doesn't think things through.
