Seungkwan was now three months into his pregnancy, though he still wore the facade of indifference around everyone, including Vernon.

But there was something different this time; Vernon had started talking to the baby when Seungkwan was asleep, his fingers gently caressing Seungkwan's belly while he did so. Seungkwan often woke up to the feeling of Vernon's soft touch, the warmth of his boyfriend's hands sending a wave of comfort through him.

It was a sweet, intimate moment that made Seungkwan's heart flutter, but he still tried to ignore the feelings of attachment that were beginning to surface.

Vernon would whisper little tidbits about the world outside, weaving together dreams and hopes that made Seungkwan feel a mix of joy and fear. "You're going to be amazing," he would say softly, his voice laced with warmth and sincerity. "Your mom is in a bit of denial... All because of me... but I promise he has got a big heart. He loves you." Seungkwan found it oddly endearing, yet he couldn't let himself fully appreciate it. Instead, he would turn away, pretending to be asleep, masking the tears that threatened to spill over.

The evening of Jisoo's labor was buzzing with excitement. Seokmin had been a flurry of energy, preparing their home for the arrival of their child. They had decided on a home birth with a midwife, a decision that made Seungkwan nervous, even as he tried to play it cool. The atmosphere was filled with an undercurrent of anticipation as Seokmin rushed around, making sure everything was in place.

"Okay, just breathe, Jisoo!" Seokmin encouraged, glancing nervously at his partner, who was surprisingly calm for someone about to give birth.

"Easier said than done!" Jisoo shot back, though there was a hint of humor in his voice. "At least I am not swearing at you like Jeonghan did to Seungcheol."

Seungkwan chuckled at the memory of Jeonghan's labor. He recalled how Jeonghan had launched a barrage of colorful curses, each more imaginative than the last. Watching Jeonghan and Seungcheol navigate that chaos had been a surreal experience, and now, seeing Jisoo in labor reminded him of how quickly life was changing around him.

"Remember, focus on your breathing," Seokmin reminded him, positioning himself closer to Jisoo's side.

Jisoo rolled his eyes but was clearly trying to keep it together. "I don't need a breathing coach right now; I need a screaming coach!"

With that, the first wave of contractions hit, and Jisoo's expression shifted from calm to intense. "Oh, here we go," he muttered, grabbing Seokmin's hand with surprising strength, going inside the tub filled with lukewarm water.

"May I come??" Seungkwan asked getting a nod from Seokmin.

Seungkwan watched the couple from a distance, feeling a twinge of anxiety mixed with admiration. It was amazing how different each experience was, yet how similar their love and commitment seemed. Even through the storm of emotions, it was evident that Seokmin would do anything for Jisoo, even if it meant braving a home birth.

The midwife arrived shortly after, bringing an air of professionalism and calm with her. "Let's get started, Jisoo," she said gently, her presence instantly soothing. "Remember to breathe and let your body do the work."

Seungkwan couldn't help but be captivated by the scene before him. The way Seokmin supported Jisoo, the soft murmurs of encouragement, and the way they held each other-it was all so beautiful. He tried to focus on that beauty, even as his mind drifted back to his own pregnancy and the uncertainty he felt.

As the contractions intensified, Jisoo's calm demeanor began to slip. "Why do they call it labor if I am the one doing all the hard work?" he huffed, his words laced with humor even through the pain.
