The next day, Seungkwan paced nervously outside the dorm room, chewing on his lip.

After knowing about Seungcheol and Seokmin's failed attempt at getting through to Vernon, it was his turn to tackle the issue head-on. But the longer he stood there, the more his nerves bubbled up.

Finally, he took a deep breath, straightened his shirt, and marched inside.

Vernon was sprawled out on the couch, flipping through TV channels, the same carefree grin plastered on his face. He glanced up as Seungkwan entered, giving a laid back wave. "Hey, babe. What's up?"

Seungkwan clenched his fists for a second, calming himself before approaching. "Vernon," he started, trying to keep his voice steady. "We need to talk. Like... seriously talk."

Vernon raised an eyebrow but stayed relaxed. "Yeah, sure. About what?"

Seungkwan sat on the edge of the couch, folding his hands in his lap. He took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking, his voice serious. "About us. And this whole situation with... well, the pills."

Vernon blinked, then tilted his head as if confused. "You mean the birth control stuff? Didn't Seungcheol and Seokmin already tell you I am fine with whatever? I don't get why this is such a big deal."

Seungkwan's eye twitched. Fine with whatever? That nonchalant attitude was exactly the problem! He felt the frustration bubbling up again but forced himself to keep calm. "That's the thing, Vernon. You don't get it. You are acting like none of this is serious, like it doesn't matter, but it does matter."

Vernon shifted slightly, sitting up a little straighter, but the casual grin didn't leave his face. "But why are you so stressed about it, Seungkwan? I told you, I don't mind if you stop taking the pills. I don't mind if we have a baby."

Seungkwan's eyes widened. "That's not the point, Vernon! It's not just about whether or not you mind having a baby. It's about us making decisions together and understanding each other. Right now, it feels like you are just... I don't know, floating through this relationship without a care in the world!"

Vernon raised his hands in mock defense. "I mean, I am pretty laid-back. But is that really a bad thing? I am just trying to go with the flow."

Seungkwan stood up, pacing back and forth, his agitation growing. "Yes, Vernon! It is a bad thing when it makes me feel like I am alone in this! You are going with the flow while I am here freaking out, wondering if I am the only one taking responsibility for anything."

Vernon blinked at him, confused. "But I am fine with whatever happens. If you stop the pills, I will be happy. If we have a baby, I will be happy. Why stress about it?"

Seungkwan stopped in his tracks, throwing his hands up. "Because I am not ready for a baby! And you saying, 'I am fine with it' every five seconds isn't helping! You are not understanding how I feel!"

Vernon stood up now, looking genuinely perplexed. "But if I am okay with it, doesn't that make things easier? Like, why do we need to worry about all these rules? Can't we just... you know, be wild and carefree?"

Seungkwan's patience finally snapped. He let out an incredulous laugh, shaking his head. "Oh my god, Vernon. Wild and free? Are we on some kind of adventure trip? This isn't about camping in the wilderness or letting things happen! We are talking about having a baby!"

Vernon blinked, still unmoved. "But if it happens, it happens, right?"

Seungkwan's jaw dropped. He was pretty sure he had reached the limit of human frustration. "Do you even hear yourself? You are acting like a baby is some kind of... of bonus level in a video game! Like, 'Oops, here is an extra life! Congrats!' This is a human being we are talking about!"

Vernon shrugged. "I mean, babies are kind of like a surprise bonus, right? And I have always been good at handling surprises."

Seungkwan stared at him, completely dumbfounded. "Bonus?! Vernon, this is NOT a game! We can't just go 'OOPS, guess we are parents now!' You are supposed to be planning this stuff, talking about it, not just winging it because you think it will all magically work out."

Vernon scratched his head. "But I don't see the point in all the stress. Life is unpredictable, right? Why not just go with it?"

Seungkwan closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He counted to ten in his head before opening them again. "You know what, Vernon?" he said, his voice eerily calm. "Fine. If you don't want to talk about this seriously, if you don't want to be responsible, then let's just stick to the 'No Sex' agenda."

Vernon blinked. "Wait... what?"

Seungkwan crossed his arms, his expression steely. "That's right. If you are going to keep this carefree, 'let's wing it' attitude, then I am going to keep my decision. No sex. No hugs. No kisses. We will be 'wild and free' by keeping everything off the table."

Vernon's eyes widened. "Wait, no sex? Like... none at all?"

Seungkwan nodded, his voice clipped. "Exactly. I am not going to put myself through the stress of worrying about a baby if you are not going to step up. So, until you start taking this seriously, we are sticking to no sex."

Vernon looked like someone had just slapped him with a frying pan. "But... but Seungkwan, that's-"

Seungkwan cut him off, his voice firm. "No buts, Vernon. You wanted wild and free, so here we are. No stress, no risks, just... nothing."

Vernon opened his mouth to protest, but Seungkwan held up a hand. "And don't even try to sweet-talk me into changing my mind. This is not happening."

Vernon's jaw hung open, clearly at a loss for words. "But Seungkwan... I-"

"Nope!" Seungkwan turned on his heel, heading for the door. "This is your choice now, Vernon. If you don't want to use protection or have a serious talk about it, then this is the new normal."

Vernon stood there, frozen in place as Seungkwan walked out, the door clicking shut behind him. He stared at the door, his brain slowly catching up to what had just happened.

"No sex?" he whispered to himself, his voice barely audible. "What just..."

Seungkwan stormed down the hallway, feeling both victorious and incredibly frustrated at the same time. If Vernon wasn't going to take this seriously, then he would. No more games. If Vernon wanted to be 'wild and free,' he was about to learn just how wild things could get without a single ounce of affection.

Meanwhile, Vernon was still standing in the middle of the room, staring blankly at the closed door.

"No sex?" he repeated, still in shock.

Seungkwan's words echoed in his mind like a distant alarm he couldn't quite process. Wild and free? This wasn't what he meant by that!
